Let me start by saying, if this is a crossroad you and your family are at? I’m sorry for this journey you are on. Loosing a loved one to Dementia/Alzheimer is saying good bye everyday. Finding care for a loved one with memory issues is a hard road to travel. When all you want is to make the right decision, this can be stressful. We initially researched and toured 6 facilities in the Edmonds and surrounding area. We are so pleased we chose Cedar Creek Memory Community. Where to start? The facility itself is beautiful, comfortable and safe. The programs they offer the residents, keeps their days’ full and their minds’ busy. Having a daily schedule helps alleviate anxieties for people with memory issues. Somedays they may not remember what comes next but they do know they are waiting for the next activity. They try to keep their resident’s in the common areas so they don’t isolate in their rooms. Interaction with others keeps your loved one engaged in life. The staff are amazing and caring individuals. From the care team, the medical staff, activities team, house keeping, and kitchen staff, they are all top notch. Paying out of pocket can become expensive. Other places may have initially quoted a lower price. However they added fees here and there and before we knew it the price was equal or higher than Cedar Creek. The flat rate monthly fee makes it easy to budget for. I would say look no further. Make Cedar Creek Memory Care Community your loved one’s forever home.

I visited this facility to look for a memory care facility for my grandfather who is a Navy Veteran. He served this country for 32 years. I was basically told to look for a place with “more people like him around “ meaning black people. This place is racist, they had no residents of color, NOT ONE! And I see why because they will turn you away due to the color of your skin, pure ignorance.

Cedar Creek provided a soft landing during one of the hardest decisions our family has faced. We know we made the right choice after seeing the consistent, compassionate care they provide our mother-in-law and how they have supported us as a family. Her health has improved, she has made friends, and she enjoys outings, art, singing, and activities that enrich her life. The leadership is accessible and responsive, and the caregivers are warm, genuine, and highly skilled. It’s clear they truly care about every resident.
