Chancellor Gardens was “home”. It was going to be the last home for my mother who came to Chancellor and who was nursed back to health after a stroke, family loss, home loss, and was well taken care of. She adapted well, became strong, and she made friends, we all did. The staff was attentive and loving, and truly became family. ;) We are so grateful for that time we had. Until things changed… everything changed. Top leadership left and created a huge hole. The best caregivers left and the exodus seemed to continue until it felt like a complete turnover. I can now see that was the beginning of the end. Communication lacked. We didn’t seem to know hardly anyone anymore. The feel of Chancellor changed - not in a better way. Then the bomb dropped. The parent company decided to evict all residents with any State funding. Dozens of residents were then left to find other places to live. They were no longer wanted. How does anyone feel it’s ok to uproot the elderly and tell them they’re not as important as the almighty dollar. All other assisted locations we talked to were in just as much disbelief as the families, and thankfully many open arms greeted these seniors, welcoming them to a new home. However, going through major transitions at their age have led to medical and emotional incidents. One of the saddest experiences we had was as we packed up Mom, there were very few “goodbyes” or “sorry to see you gos”. After almost 3 years as a resident, we were blown away by the callousness we all experienced. I would have recommended Chancellor Gardens 3 years ago, but unfortunately I cannot recommend a place that says they care, but doesn’t show it. Lip service isn’t enough. I’m sorry to have leave a negative review, but it needs to be said. I wish we would have believed them when they said they care about families and the elderly - they just don’t. It’s the money they care about. It’s been crushing to see the effects on Mom because of the move and how it all went down, but I’m hopeful Moms new residence will show what real caring looks like. So far so good! Goodbye Chancellor Gardens- I’m sorry to see the old one go.

We Love Chancellor Gardens which has given us a chance to improve our quality of life. For five years prior to moving here, we were consigned to our home with no car and no social interaction due to our medical conditions. At Chancellor, we have made friends with residents and with the staff who earnestly try to be a friend and make this a desirable experience for everyone. We look forward to spending the rest of our lives at Chancellor Gardens. The food is excellent, and the various activities are fun and enriching. Services for several religious groups are held here including The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which includes Sunday meetings, family home evening, Relief Society and monthly bus trips to the Temple. Weekly field trips are planned on the Chancellor mini-bus. The staff plans special activities relevant to the season of the year and the holiday. Birthdays are always recognized. My husband and I have great difficulty walking and we are able to use small scooters to get around. Others use walkers or Jazzi wheelchairs or walk slowly if able to do so. Monthly meetings are held that residents can participate in whenever they want to and can share ideas for food, activities, and give feedback to the staff. We made a very good decision to choose Chancellor Gardens as the place to live for the winding down years of our lives.

My family took a tour of this beautiful facility. We were so happy from the very beginning. The staff made us feel very welcome. Jody Carlson gave us the tour. She is amazing. We loved her. She’s very knowledgeable and easy to work with. We knew after visiting with Jody that Chancler Gardens would be the perfect place to have our mother be cared for.

Over the past 6 to 7 years Chancellor Gardens has been home for my father. The love and care he receives on a daily basis is amazing. Lisa W. and Kat both took him under their wings back in 2020 when Covid made it impossible to see my father for months. He had just lost my sweet mother a few weeks before and was already having a hard time. I know that during that long period of time my father is very well taken care of. That care continues today as well, which my sisters and I are so grateful for. Lisa and Kat will never know how much we love and appreciate them for going above and beyond what was expected. The care that ALL the staff gave to him and all of residents was above and beyond as well and continues today. Over the years Chancellor and it staff have become family. I love going in and seeing each employee interacting with the residents like they were their parents or grandparents. I also enjoy going to eat meals with my father and can honestly say their food is yummy. That is coming from a picky eater. The actives are a lot of fun and I love how Jody lets family members take part when they are visiting. She does an amazing job of keep the residents engaged. They always celebrate special holidays and occasions with the residents and their families. I hope if I ever need to live in an assisted living, my daughter loves me enough to place me at Chancellor gardens. Thank you to the staff and residents for making Chancellor home for my dad and his family! We love you all!!

Dad has lived at Chancellor Gardens for about 7 years now, and he absolutely loves his life here. Great staff, great care, great classes and activities and even great food. Way too many fabulous staff members to list them all, but I must say that Brittany & Kristen do an amazing job engaging their residents and making them smile. Dad looks forward to every one of their classes and activities . Thanks Chancellor Gardens for loving your residents.
