CHATEAU-THE VILLA

Its always hard to put your loved ones in a facility. But after having my Mom in a nightmare place prior to here, I finally felt relief with her here. It has been a few months since she has passed, so it took a little bit to write this review. But this is a beautiful place that makes it feel like home away from home. It was always clean, the food looked and smelled amazing. They truly seem to care about their guest and even painted my Mom's nails to make her feel special.

My mother had a stroke, and my dad went on hospice the same month. A bed became available for my dad at The Villas at the same time mom was released from rehab. We found the staff to be friendly, helpful and caring. The atmosphere was homey and the food was good.home

I advise to not send your loved ones if they are in need of experienced, well trained memory and dementia care. This is not the place for anyone with difficult behaviors, any aggressive behavior, or many of the difficult very common behaviors of alzheimers or FTD. They will advertise that they are equipped to handle more challenging patients, but in my personal experience the staff is not. If your loved one is quiet, easy, and has a basic routine to adhere to it is a good place. However, you will risk having to move your relative and causing unrecoverable decline if your loved one needs very experienced dementia staff to assist them.
