CHELSEA AT FAIR LAWN, THE (NJ25258)

My mother has been living at the Chelsea at Fair Lawn since December 2024. It is a decent and caring place. Every community and every facility has its challenges, but I have found there to be a majority of staff and residents who are concerned and supportive; I have even found a few genuinely kind and delightful people who are truly a gift to Mom and to me. The Chelsea is an unpretentious and friendly Community where I have been able to help my mom navigate the challenges of being an elder in a rather stressful world. Every time I visit with her, I enjoy being in that environment. And, even more important, I feel peaceful when I leave at the end of the evening. I feel she is in safe hands in a caring environment and that is worth everything!

Our Mom has been at the Chelsea (the cottage) since it basically opened two years ago. We can not say enough amazing comments about The Chelsea Fair lawn. The facility itself is new, clean and super user friendly. The staff is phenomenal. Each and every staff member is kind, compassionate, loving and takes care of our mother as if they were their own. I’m always impressed how all residents are up and out of their rooms socializing whether it’s meals or activities, they are never alone. We also very much appreciate that the Chelsea also collaborates and hosts activities for the cottage and assisted living residents together when appropriate, which is really nice! We are absolutely thrilled and grateful to have such wonderful care for our mom!

The facility is clean and tastefully decorated. The staff is very attentive. There are lots of activities for the residents. Administration keeps families and residents well informed of any issues that may occur

My mom is a new resident at the Cottage (memory care) and I've been happy and relieved at the level of excellent care. The staff is throughly engaged and very, very caring and compassionate. I really can't say enough good things about the people who work there - they are patient, kind and really know how to work with elders. It comes from the top - Lucy is the director of the Cottage and she treats the residents like they are her own family, going above and beyond to make sure their needs are addressed. I appreciate that there is interaction between the Cottage and residents on other floors and like the activities - games, bingo, table golf, trivia, etc. There's a very warm, familial feeling at The Chelsea.

My Mom has been at Chelsea since Aug 2023. It has been a wonderful experience. The apartments are brand new and the common areas are beautiful. The staff are very kind and caring and the chef is outstanding. I especially want to call out Lucy P. She has been a true friend to my mother. She ensures she includes her in all the activities and makes my mother feel needed and valued. This has really been life changing for my mother but also for her children who can now take comfort in knowing she is in such a great place.
