What can I say about Chelsea’s Hidden Acres assisted living facility? Well, personally,I call it Chelsea’s hidden gem!You see I have to start by saying it isn’t like a facility at all. It’s much more like a home. My Mom recently had to go into assisted living, and was I ever blessed to find this place. You see, my Mother would never do well in some big corporate type of facility. She requires a simpler, smaller, and serene place where life is more laid back, like the good old days. That’s what we found here. The (home) as we call it is just the right size for Mom. The residents are really not just residents at all, you see it’s more like a family. The staff as a whole are amazing and Paula, ( the Administrator) goes above and beyond to make everyone feel just that way; Like family. The building is beautiful, the grounds are immaculate, the (family) well taken care of. My Mom’s room, like everyone else’s is beautiful and clean as a pin. The thing is, you won’t find the family in their room very often. On a normal day you will find them in the conference room ( better known as the front porch) chatting with each other and taking in the gorgeous abundance of nature that surrounds them. This porch has more rocking chairs than a Cracker Barrel, and believe you me, they get put to good use. It’s really not even possible for me to describe the natural beauty of Mother Nature that surrounds the entire place. I have seen deer, rabbits, squirrels, and a green headed mallard just to name a few of the abundant types of wildlife that surround the home. Inside the staff makes sure that there are plenty of activities to keep the family busy( if of course, you can get them off the porch) We have yet to experience Christmas here, but I am told that it’s like a winter wonderland. If I had to sum up the care received, and atmosphere as a whole in one word, it would be PHENOMENAL. To summarize, if you, like me, have a loved one that just can’t completely take care of themselves anymore, and they just need a hand and the love of family, or you know of someone in that situation, then you need to see this place. Give them a call, and they will gladly set up a tour for you. One thing though; don’t tell too many people. We like a small to medium sized family, but I can’t be selfish, there’s always room for a couple more. Lol….I really love this place!

I am sooooo thankful for Chelsea’s Hidden Acres. I remember driving up to it a couple of years ago and getting out of the car and thinking “well this is beautiful and feels like home.” Mom is 93 and has been at Hidden Acres for a year and a half now. It is such a comfort to know she is so well taken care of. The staff are all very kind and attentive. The residents are so sweet. Mom’s favorite thing there is probably the rocking chairs on the huge front porch. The views really are beautiful and serene! Chelsea’s Hidden Acres is ALWAYS pleasant and clean and fresh and well taken care of. This is NOT a nursing home nor does it give that vibe. In November and December it looks like you’ve stepped into a Hallmark movie!! So thankful for the excellent care here.

This facility has been a real blessing for Mom and our whole family. The setting alone is wonderful, not to mention the great staff and living arrangements. Every time I talk to her she tells about how well she's taken care of, and how thankful she is. I'm so glad this place exists.

My mother has lived at Hidden Acres since the spring of 2024. She enjoys sitting on the lovely front porch during warm weather with her new friends, and working on puzzles in the puzzle room. While moving your parent into a new living situation can be stressful, Paula and her staff have helped Mom to feel at home. Getting to know all the residents has made it feel like extended family. We love it there!
