Chinook Place

I have recently been helping a friend place a loved one and Shantel was the first call I made. She was more then willing to get her staff involved to help see what they could do to help their family. I have always appreciated how caring and understanding Shantel is of the elderly who go through transitions of needing memory care facilities. She will advocate to make sure they have the best support and care.

I am beyond Grateful to this Facility and its Staff! I Called Shantel, I told her I needed help and she dropped everything! I had a patient with Dementia and I needed placement ASAP, She along with Lottie took care of Everything!! The Love and compassion this staff showed my precious patient was phenomenal. Madras is a small community, options are few,But if you need help with a Loved one, this is your place! Thank You, from the bottom of my heart.

The staff there are not only professional but deeply kind and genuinely caring. From the moment our dad arrived, they went above and beyond to make him feel safe, comfortable, appreciated, and loved. One thing that truly stood out was how the nurses took time to talk with my dad—sometimes to check in, sometimes just to share a moment of connection. It was clear they cared about his well-being not only as a patient, but as a person. Doug and I had two parents in care facilities at the same time, and the difference was striking. Doug’s mom was in a different facility in Gresham which, while professional, lacked warmth, and too often felt impersonal. Chinook Place was the complete opposite. The entire team treats every resident with love, dignity, and respect. From Shantel and Lottie to nurses Ceci, Patti, Brandy, and Tia, and to Thomas in the kitchen, every member of the staff supported my dad and our family. They consistently went above and beyond for all of us. We wholeheartedly recommend Chinook Place to anyone looking for a place where their loved one will feel truly at home. The care, kindness, and attention they provide are unparalleled. Thank you again to the entire team for everything you did for our dad and for our family. Devine intervention led me to Chinook Place. My wife was in decline and beyond my ability to care for her any longer. Along came Shantel and her amazing staff of angels. A true blessing at a time of true need. I can't praise the staff and facility enough!!

Friendly staff who seem to care about all aspects of clients health. Chinook is kept clean, the meals are varied, and each week has some kind of entertainment offered. My family feels like Mom is well cared for here.
