While researching assisted living facilities in Grand Haven, I found Christian Haven home. It is one of the lower monthly cost facilities that I found. Unfortunately, I found out that this also meant less care and extremely low quality care. My parents had several medication errors occur that caused significant long term harm. Please do your research very well before sending your loved one to this facility. Please also be aware that many of the other reviews listed are more than 2 years old when the home was under different management so those reviews may not be applicable now.

I visited a friend there. They are under construction and it's going to be amazing. My negative is the sanitation pump in the library. I used it. But it was so clogged at the end, it shot in my eyes and on the table, on people, behind me. I did let the aide know, but nothing was done. I understand this is a hard and challenging job but it's the little things that count, ya know?

The staff are so supportive and on top of it! They are attentive and know everything that goes on in their facility. Management knows their residents very well and are in communication quickly with family members when issues arise such as a resident's health changing or needing more care. It's a loving and clean environment!

My in-laws were residents until they passed-my father-in-law in 2017 and my mother-in-law in December of 2018. They lived out their last years with the loving care of the Christian Haven staff. We were so thankful we chose Christian Haven as the place for them to live the last years of their lives. The staff didn’t just take care of them-they genuinely loved them and made them feel loved and special. Christian Haven isn’t the fanciest building with the largest rooms, BUT...the care is second to none. The staff are the hands and feet of Jesus for the residents.

Christian Haven home has been a staple care facility in the Tri-Cities for longer than I can remember. Funny thing about it is that it does not feel like a nursing home with a sterile Hospital atmosphere. It feels like someone's home and is quite inviting. I enjoyed visiting as part of my museum docent activities.
