If you care about your loved one, avoid this place at ALL costs. You with the most disrespect you’ve ever seen. I cannot imagine what the residents must go through on the daily with this hostile loose cannon in charge. My kid tried to turn around in their PUBLIC parking lot, and was met with the owners running up to her car, calling the cops and taking pictures of her license plate (mind you, all she did was smile at them while passing through their circle drive with the windows up). When I called to try and clear it up, I was met with immediate screaming, saying she should have gone up the road (she does not live here, and does not know her way around. She turned around in a PUBLIC parking lot, with signs pointing to a business.) The fact that the owners of this establishment acted like this when someone as much as turned around in a parking lot leads me to unimaginable things should your loved one act out in any way. I fear for any loved one who may live here, and is unable to speak up for themselves when god knows what happens under this woman’s care. How can someone be so utterly nasty as a person, and want to care for a vulnerable population? The other reviewers regarding Jody’s nasty demeanor are all true, and I encourage you to go turn around in their parking lot and see for yourself (or don’t if you don’t want the police called on you I guess). P.S. cops did nothing, as it is a PUBLIC parking lot.

My mom was very comfortable staying here. We moved her in after a year at another facility where we fought UTI after UTI.. We moved my mom to This facility in May, and stayed there for 18 months till she passed. My mom didn't have a single UTI in that time, always was kept very clean and comfortable. The dementia was hard to watch, but she was mostly very happy. Thanks to the staff for helping her and my family thru this.

This is definitely not a place I would want my loved one to be in. I have witnessed the owner hitting one of the residents multiple times on the head asking if she was stupid, then pushing her into a wall. I also overheard the owner talking to the staff saying that they were going to give a resident edibles, that were not prescribed by the residents doctor, but that they were doing it so they didn't have "deal" with her. The state was called but no actions were taken. So I felt as if I needed to speak up in their behalf.

My husband was very happy with the excellent care his father was given while in Jody's care. She and her staff consistently went above and beyond with their care and concern. It is evident that Jody is involved and invested in what's best for her residents.

My mother has lived here for 5 years, she has advanced Alzheimers and Claras house gives her exceptional care. The staff and owner are patient and great with the residents.
