CLOSE TO HOME SENIOR LIVING - BLUEMOUND HOME

As part of my scout troop's community outreach I helped with repainting and clearing out the storage room over a couple weeks. Liked how they offered dancing exercises and had a Labrador visiting for the people living there.

I volunteered over the holiday season at both CTHSL locations, and saw the residents enjoying a variety of activities, from decorating cookies to joining in a Christmas carol sing-along with another volunteer who played his guitar. The homes were clean and the staff were very helpful when I wanted to learn everyone's name and what sort of activities they would be most comfortable with me leading. We completed jigsaw puzzles, assembled foam ornament kits and one woman insisted on showing me her photo albums. Everyone seemed well cared for and content, and I really enjoyed putting in some time with the elderly in our community. I hope to return soon!

My experience at close to home is horrible its bug bed infested the residents use hand soap for shampoo and body wash.... they can't sit outside if they wanted to Cheryl doesn't let them sit outside she doesn't take the time out to get to know her residents.. I was asked by Cheryl to post a nice review of her building about my mom and my mom doesn't even live there my mom is about to be 52 this year and work an full time job why do I need to post something about my mom living there when my mom stay downstairs from me! This message is for everyone that's looking for a place for your family do not bring your family here this is an disgrace

I toured the home and was pleasantly pleased. Im excited to get my mom settled there as is she. The bedrooms all looked brand new and very clean.

Horrible: Abusive place. Residents are neglected and abused here. We had to remove our relative after the horrible treatment that was observed, then found her full of bruises on top of it. I witnessed an incident where a man fell and was continually yelled at to get up instead of someone helping him to get up. Urine on furniture was not cleaned up. Yelling at residents continually during meals. When brought to the attention of the owner, Cheryl, she defended every incident! Even the continual yelling at the poor elderly man laying on the florr. Unsafe conditions all around. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY for your loved one.
