Closer To Home

Had a lady call me from Closer to Home assisted living center to help get her service set up which should have been handled thru the administration. I asked the resident if she could get the admission on the phone so we could get the situation taken care of. As I was sitting on the phone with the resident I could hear the administrator in the background yelling at the resident and being super rude to her.. The resident was so confused and had no clue what to do to get her service going and was very upset. Finally got admission on the phone and they treated me with the same disrespect and acted like taking care of this residents needs were beneath them! I would absolutely not ever send anyone I love or cared about to this facility!! Totally unprofessional attitude and super uncaring of the residents needs.. Very disappointed that a assisted care facility would treat the elderly in such a disrespectful manner!!!

The minute I entered the door I felt welcomed and at home. I was bringing a non-family member to live here and I was so impressed by the cleanliness of the facility, the warmth of the staff and the ease at which they got my person settled in to their new room. Rooms were spacious and all the residents looked well cared for and happy. The surrounding grounds were well cared for and the view was top notch. Sheryl does an amazing job and I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a place for their loved one.

Closer To Home is managed by a very loving and caring couple who treat the residents like family. The home is clean and always kept up. The surrounding area is beautiful and a great place in a country like setting. Would highly recommend this facility for anyone needing personal and caring attention.
