Coastal Haven took such beautiful care of my grandma during her time there. She was treated with dignity, patience, and kindness, which meant everything to our family. The staff made sure she was comfortable and never felt alone. Alex was always attentive and compassionate toward my grandma. Knowing she was in such caring hands brought us peace during a very hard time and we will always be grateful to Coastal Haven.

From the moment I walked into Coastal Haven and met Ira and Benny and their staff, I knew it was the right place for my dad. I wanted to move him from a large facility in Kern County to Ventura County so that I could be near him during what would be his final weeks. Moving from a hospital environment into a private room made a huge difference, giving him sunlight and a door that opened to a lovely lemon tree outside, with plenty of fresh air. The staff did everything in their power to make my dad comfortable, and if that meant scrambled eggs for dinner then that’s what he got. There was such a sense of family there. At times, a member of the staff would sit with me in his room, taking time to ask questions to get to know the man he was, and offering me reassurance. During his stay, including hospice care, he was always clean, dressed in clean clothes, shaved, and they even gave him a haircut. The way they treated Dad in his last days allowed him to leave this world with dignity, and I will be forever grateful for that. Ira and Benny showed kindness and compassion throughout Dad’s time there, and were always available by phone, text, or in person. I’ll note, too, that the cost was in line with any memory care facility, but provided a much more personal level of care. I can’t say enough about how good the experience was. I highly recommend Coastal Haven.

Ira and her staff provided superb, kind, compassionate care to my family member. The house is lovely and feels like a real home. All who visited us there raved about how wonderful it is. The meals are truly excellent and were such a source of joy to my loved one. I feel so lucky to have found Coastal Haven Senior Living and I would highly recommend it.

Costal Haven provided the very best care for my mother with advanced Dementia. They brought my mother in and treated not like a client, but like family. They worked with her one on one to customize her meals and activities. They collaborated well with her doctors and frequently to update her medical needs from physical therapy appointments to medication adjustments as needed. The owner, Ira is a registered nurse with experience in Dementia care. The entire staff (Ira, Jojo, May, and Ronald) were very empathetic and patient with my mother giving her continual round the clock care. We couldn’t have had a better experience. We are very grateful for the care they gave my mother.
