Spoke to the Admission Coordinator. She answered ALL of my questions and explained the process of admitting a resident. Then she took me on a tour. Again, answered all of my questions and encouraged me to call if I have any concerns. They told me they were in the process of remodeling. Never actually saw any evidence of it. The meal trays in the rooms need to be upgraded, among other things. Four of the best employees “left” for other positions or just “disappeared” after getting to know them. The aides appeared to be “short staffed” on a regular basis. There are/was some caring, hard working aides at this facility. There were also rude, uncaring employees. No matter what facility you choose, be an active part…. Know what’s happening in the facility on a daily basis. This facility can use some improvements and more staff for what the residents are charged to live there, especially private pay.

My mom was NOT kept safe. Left in wheelchair, extended time, dozed off & fell on her face, death came within two weeks. My mom never ever tried to get up on her own because she feared falling more than anything. Remain diligent.

This is an exceptional place. The care my Mother receives is excellent. The residents are treated with respect and very well cared for. They are readily available to help with concerns and to answer questions. We made the right choice in deciding to place her at Columbus Oaks.

I meet their admission coordinator at a health fair very friendly and informative! I have also noticed an increase in activities on their Facebook page. Things look very promising for their community. Keep it up guys!

My mom is in here and am so pleased with her care. The nurses, aides and everyone go above an beyond to make my mom feel at home and well taken care of. I recommend Columbus Oaks facility for your lived ones that need care.
