I am anticipating moving my 97 year old mother into Colwich Gardens. I am dealing with a lot of paperwork regarding long-term care policies and whatnot. I cannot tell you how fortunate I was to talk with Andrew who filled me in on so much information that nobody else would give me. Both he and Amber, who I originally contacted, were the two NICEST people I have talked with in the many assisted living facilities I have contacted--who often give very misleading information. Colwich Gardens would be a place in which anybody would be totally blessed to stay. These people REALLY care!

My mom and older sister, who is handicapped went to Colwich Gardens 3 years ago. We chose Colwich Gardens because of the staff who were caring and attentive. The facility is like home with a layout that is warm and inviting. Mom passed away a year ago and the staff were helpful and attentive during her stay there and during her final days. Both my mom and sister considered/consider Colwich Gardens "home". The staff have been great and we consider them family. I highly recommend Colwich Gardens.

Colwich Gardens has been an awesome place for my parents after moving from a small town in Western Kansas!! The smaller homie atmosphere made the transition much easier!! The nurses are like family now as they have taken wonderful care of my mom before passing and currently my dad and special needs brother! They have always had an open line of communication on the care they give and any wants I may have. I highly recommend this place for your loved ones!!

I’m giving this facility 3 stars because their caregivers are great! They can not help that management under staffs them at nights and weekends. The manager Andrew and Marna director of nursing are rarely to be seen. This facility is supposed to be an age in place, meaning that for whatever reasoning they can provide care.we also had our own caregivers coming in to provide extra care. Not only did we feel the need to have cameras in her room we were the ones to find our loved one had had a fall. The last resulting in hip fracture. Our loved one was on hospice and had meds in place that could have been given much sooner then they were. I was informed an hour after fall had occurred and got to the facility and pleaded with staff to give her the meds as well as to call an ambulance as she needed to go to hospital for repair. During her recovery our family was in communication with management whom said that they would be able to provide new needs which was a toileting schedule mainly one potty break at night so she wasn’t up alone. One week after Andrew and Marna made a visit without our families knowledge at the rehab and after called to inform they wouldn’t take her back. Leaving us high and dry and with only Friday and weekend to figure out a quick solution. Sadly this place has changed tremendously since it has been taken over by another company with much lower standards then the original owners!
