Recently spent a week in rehab at Tall Pines following hip surgery. I had a private room that could not have been more conducive to healing. The CNA staff was friendly, courteous, helpful and took great care in providing help as promptly as possible. These qualities are most critical to someone who must have assistance doing even the most routine tasks in the early weeks following surgery. The Charge nurses, physical therapists and occupational therapists and Administrative personnel were warm, professional, informative, clear and empathetic. Even my dietary preferences were respected. Being a vegan can be a challenge to the kitchen staff and chef , since it is not very common in the age group they usually serve. When I explained what things I could eat, which was everything except meat, dairy, seafood and poultry, and offered some suggestions, they appeared the very next day. The person in charge of the kitchen including buying of groceries etc. bought items to add to the vegetables being offered on the regular menu to provide the perfect balance. I was very grateful for the attitude of every staff member I met. It was a willingness and personal treatment I had not expected, having had no previous experience in a Skilled Nursing/ rehab facility. My thanks to each member of the staff. I would happily recommend this facility to those in need of such services.
