I have lived here for 2 years and I think it's ok. The staff do their best. But because of limited funds the place is understaffed which makes it hard for the few that do work here. Often, they are overworked and huge demands are often placed on them. The caregivers do their best and it shows. The food is OK and the kitchen staff are really nice. They keep the place clean and as safe as they can. The facility is in a dangerous neighborhood, as a result, there is a curfew. It is so we, the residents are kept safe. They have great activities and really do their best to help us feel comfortable. To be honest, I have been in worse....much worse. Although this place is rather inexpensive, we actually do get well taken care of. The administrator does care which is why I feel it is as safe as it is. Update: 3.29.24 I have lived here now for six and a half years and contrary to other reviews about Coral Oaks Care Living I have never seen anyone who was or is overmedicated sitting outside facility or outside of the stores close to here. I have only seen two residents begging for money outside of stores which the administrator is working very hard to stop. Sadly she has no control over what we do outside of the facility. She really does care about us and our safety. When the pandemic was at worst, she and the staff worked very hard to keep us safe and healthy. She also worked hard to keep our moral up. Though it was very stressful for her she still did an excellent job. It was also very stressful for the staff but the staff the did and still do an excellent job. The staff and the administrator were and still are true heroes. I see too that the owners really care about us as well which is a true plus in my book because most owners don't care for anything but how much they can make. My only complaint is that they don't give me enough chocolate! (LOL).

While the facility appears clean, it's not being managed as effectively as it should be. Unfortunately, they tend to overmedicate patients, and the food options for residents are quite limited. Additionally, there seems to be a lack of proper documentation when patients miss their medication or when controlled pain medications are misplaced. Based on these observations, I cannot recommend this place at all.

Coral Oaks is an amazing place to place your loved ones. Their staff is attentive and supportive and the facility is clean. I saw their admin helping bring pts in for meals and is a hands on administrator, which I almost never see. Highly recommend

An inexpensive facility. They do the best they can with a limited friendly staff. The meals are good and they check on the patients as much as they can. This is not a nursing home. Don't expect personalized care. The lowest priced facility in the area.

Stay away from Coral Oaks Care Living. A tenant attacked my mother. My mother said she stopped that tenant from killing her, and I believe it. My mother was sent to the ER. When I started asking questions about the event, the staffs' accounts were different than my mother's. All in all they were giving me half-truths and protecting the attacker. Also, the administrator confiscated my mother's cell phone and sandals. Also, almost her whole carton of cigarettes were unaccounted for. When I asked the receptionist for those items, she said, 'they're not on the inventory list.'
