COTTONWOOD VILLAS

First, let me offer prayers to the family of the gentleman that recently passed away after not being monitored in this place. I pray that the remaining residents will get placed in a better suited healthcare facility. Next, I am not surprised at the lack of proper staffing. On social media over the years I continued to see staff, particularly Med Techs working both days and nights taking pictures throughout the facility (in bathrooms, desk stations, etc.) of themselves in different colored and styled lacefront wigs fronting as if they were some big time registered nurses with scrubs on. Maybe if they had put down their phones trying to glamorize on their looks or lack of, patients would have received better care Records from the state show that residents medicines were available to be given out, but were still sitting in carts, cold food being given out to residents, filthy floors and walls, rodent droppings through out rooms, etc. This town needs a properly run HOSPITAL with qualified employees working in it. Do better BISHOPVILLE!

As of October of 2025 this facility has been cited by the scdph in the death of a patient who had been staying here. Without any staff supervision he left the facility in the middle of the night and wander off an hour away where he was then struck by a semi truck. This begs the question, where were the staff when he left the facility and what wasn’t it realized he was missing until he was struck? I wouldn’t trust this place to look after a dog, let alone your cherished ailing family member.

Our family member had numerous bruises and injuries while in the care of Cottonwood. Once our family member was relocated, Stitches, staples and bruising immediately stopped.

DO NOT send your loved ones here! All patient’s clothes are thrown together in a big closet. My aunt’s purse was missing and her roommate wore the same clothes for multiple days! This place is horrible. We will be reporting!

No one from this facility notified family after the flooding occurred. As to date 7-26-19, no one knows where my mother is and this facility is suppose to care for her. I’m an angry daughter 😡
