Covenant Place of Gardendale

My mom was a resident here for only two months before her passing, but I can confidently say this was the best place she had ever been. Every single employee was kind, compassionate, and helpful. The facility was always clean and smelled fresh. My mom never once complained about the food—in fact, I had the chance to enjoy it myself a couple of times, and it was great! The staff did a wonderful job keeping her engaged with a variety of activities, and she often spoke very highly of the other residents. It truly felt like she was part of a loving, extended family. If you're looking for a caring and supportive environment for your loved one, this is the place.

I moved my 92 year old uncle from his home of 60 years to Covenant Place last year. They took incredible care of him the year he was in their care. They provided his meals, cleaning, laundry, continence care, medications, etc. They even helped get him to his appointments when I was unable to leave work. So much of the caregiver burden was eased for me while he was in their care. The staff really goes above and beyond with care and compassion. The communication was always top notch as well. Not once did I ever feel left out of the loop. Their activities director, Jillian, is an absolute gem! I largely credit his happiness there to her and her efforts to encourage and include him. I cannot say enough positive things about our overall experience!

My mother in law was a resident at covenant place for 14 months. The staff here was amazing. They were caring and compassionate. They were always very responsive to questions and concerns. There were several occasions they went above and beyond for my mother in law in her care. I would absolutely recommend Covenant Place to anyone looking for assisted living for their loved one.

I just love Covenant Place. The attitude and excitement of the employees motivates the residents to participate in the activities they have planned, which are numerous and varied. From hymn singing, to a Halloween carnival, to a fifties dance, to a Mardi Gras party, from playing games to doing crafts and even baking, to earning tokens for cash by snacking and drinking water. My mother in law enjoyed making a lot of new friends and was taken care of so well. Covenant Place provides an environment to stay active and healthy as a senior who needs some assistance during our aging years.

Covenant Place was an answer to prayer for our family. They loved my mom like we did. Always eager to meet expectations. My mom was on hospice they would text me at night to say she was in bed, she died in the wee hours of the morning I left with breakfast and a cup of tea. The staff took care of her and us. I will be eternally grateful for the love and care they offered.
