Daniela Serenity Care

My Mom & Dad stayed at Daniela’s serenity care. While the staff themselves were usually helpful and kind, a number of concerns arose. We were prevented from using digital picture frames and Alexa Shows in their room. These had been an important part of their lives for video calls so they could see the grandkids and such. But at Daniela’s they were unplugged and put in a drawer, after which we’d set them up again and they’d be removed again. I mentioned this several times and usually got just a nod, but once a staff worker said that they weren’t allowed. They were prevented from seeing grandkids by videocall. The lack of communication was a problem. Many homes have meetings or summaries every 30, 60 or 90 days (and certainly give prompt notification of accidents, significant changes, etc.), but my siblings and I often didn’t find out about important information until much later. For instance he had a fall in late 2024, and we didn’t find out until many days or more later (we still don’t know what day he fell). The front & back ramps were not kept ice free and left in a hazardous state. Twice (Jan 30 and Feb 6, 2025) I came to take him to dinner and literally could not get him out of the facility because there was no safe way for any resident in a wheelchair to leave, even if there were a fire. A competent care home will have covered ramps for safety. These were my last chances to take him out to dinner before he died. With these many issues, we arranged to move him out, but he died before that happened. My Dad died in the afternoon on the first of the month, and Daniela insisted on charging us the full monthly cost of $7,000 for the few hours he lived that month. She would not credit even a day, even though my mom had died earlier there and we had again paid for the full month after she had died (no credit given). Less than 48 hours later, when we came to sort and remove his personal belongings, they had already been boxed and put in the garage. We had to sort his personal belongings outside in driveway in the freezing weather, even though we were being charged $7000 for his room. For these many reasons, I would not recommend Daniela's Serenity Care.

My mother lived here and was cared for by Daniela and her team for the last three years of her life. The facilities are clean, comfortable, peaceful and truly feel like a home. The care my mother received was superb. The staff were reliable, consistent, hard-working and attentive to my mother's physical and emotional needs. Communication with the staff and with Daniela was excellent; they always kept me informed and took a proactive vs. reactive approach. The caregivers were attentive to details and were always kind, patient and welcoming. They truly care about the residents well-being, safety and happiness. Daniela and her team are gems. As a son and as a physician, I would recommend Daniela Serenity Care to anyone with a loved one who needs more care than can be provided in their own home.

As a physician/surgeon, I trust Daniela, her wonderful staff and excellent care. I have had three of my 90+ year old aunts reside here. Excellent facility.

I may have sound like a broken record praising this place for outstanding care given to me, I have been here since 2017, came in with walker assistance and not in the best medical situation. The other day I receive a great news from my doctor for the first time since I have been sic my protein and sodium levels are normal, and my kidney function is normal. All this is thanks to the excellent care the owners and their dedicated stuff give us. The other day I actually waled 10.6 mile in one day. My daughter never worries again about me. I am often asked if I thought of going on my own, ABSOLUTELY NO. I don't have to worry about shopping, cooking, cleaning, laundry, medication taken on time and correct dosage. When you find what I call perfection why leave it. I finally enjoy life to the fullest. This place is amazing if you ever are given an opportunity to place your loved and can do it!!!!
