Our boys with special needs were aging out of high school, and their future didn’t hold the same promises of typical adults. We wanted a future for them full of happiness, care, safety, learning, social connections, and striving towards independence. We knew our continuation to provide full-time care at home was not sustainable, nor was it really the best for them. In retrospect, it would have been harder on us to do nothing and maintain the status quo than to make a change. We wanted a place that offered excellence: in housing and facilities, activities, health care, quality food, community, safety and dedicated people to make it all happen. We, however, needed to learn to trust others and learn to let go. We lived on the East Coast and found Daymark Living by searching online. A simple phone call inquiry led to a lengthy conversation. We were pleasantly surprised. The possibility seemed intriguing. Daymark checked all the boxes we hoped for our sons. We had to see it in person to believe. The phone call led to a tour, and the tour to the big move to Waxahachie, Texas! The boys have been at Daymark for 3 years and continue to grow! Daymark is helping our family live our best life. We are forever grateful to the founder, the management team, and to every staff member for their dedication, care, and compassion. Thank you.

My husband & I thank God everyday for showing us the way to Daymark Living in Waxahachie Tx. His 40 yr old son was seeking a place to live where he was able to live more independently and have a life of his own. God led us to Daymark!! What a blessing this place is and just an hour from where we live. God is Good!! We have been extremely impressed with Daymark’s environment and their focus on life skills development for all their residence. The facility offers a range of programs aimed at teaching residents essential skills for independent living, including cooking, shopping, social skills, dating skills and personal care. The staff is not only highly trained but also genuinely caring, creating a warm atmosphere where residents feel valued and encouraged. Activities are tailored to individual needs, fostering a sense of empowerment and confidence. The communal spaces are inviting, promoting social interaction among residents, which is crucial for building a supportive community. Daymark Living offers adults the right balance of support and autonomy. Our son has learned to do so much for himself. Help is there of course but unlike at home, the Daymark coaches only step in when needed! Consequently, our son has become far more independent and is functioning at a higher level than we thought possible. We wish Daymark Living wasn't so far away from home (we're several states away from TX), but having a fuller, more meaningful life is worth the distance.
