De Good Shephard Senior Living

De Good Shepherd is a very cozy and clean home and we trust that they are giving my dad the care and attention he needs. Definitely would recommend if you’re looking for a smaller home setting for your aging parent or loved one.

We feel very blessed to have our loved one living here! The care & attention she receives is just outstanding. She is cared for & treated like a family member of owners. It gives our family such comfort knowing all her needs are being met… physically & emotionally. Our family highly recommends this hidden gem for your loved one!

Our mother has been living at De Good Shepherd now for over two months. She has settled in and she is so happy there. Her room is so bright and cheery. They prepare three home cooked meals every day. Very delicious food. Mom looks forward to every meal time. Dorothy and all of the staff are very knowledgeable and very loving and caring. Always very attentive to all of mom's medical needs. Me and my brother are so so thankful that we found De Good Shepherd and have found a permanent home for mom . That is the bottom line, it feels like a home and not just a "facility" There are so many facilities in the area, but not a single home that offers what De Good Shepherd offers.

After a stint with Covid and pneumonia my wife was literally bedridden and I wasn't optimistic that she would get better. After six weeks in another facility she made no progress. From day 1 Ms Dorothy pushed her and after two weeks she was standing and started walking with a walker. I can't express enough the appreciation I have for what she has accomplished with my wife.

I wish there were more than 5 stars to give this group home. My mother moved in recently. She has lived in several different facilities; but, this home is so much more than I ever imagined. Dorothy, the owner, is not only medically knowledgeable; but, she has the demeanor and caring personality that is missing in all the other facilities. She views her job as a ministry of love and it shows in everything she does. She told me that she will spend 2 weeks learning my mother’s likes, dislikes, habits, etc. Where else would you ever find a place or someone willing to take that kind of time with your loved one? I am so blessed to have found this wonderful home for my mother.
