The manager, owner and care staff are personable, attentive, and always creating ways to engage every loved one in activities from games to Zumba to arts n crafts and several more. Each holiday and birthday is decorated for, with special meals and treats. Most importantly, the line of communication is open and seamless with updates and feedback between the home and families. The staff at Desert Gardens take great care of my father. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the caregivers and management. They celebrate the resident’s birthdays and holidays as well as making sure daily needs are met. They are compassionate, communicate concerns and always welcome family involvement. The facility is kept clean and has plenty of different sitting/activity areas. Would highly recommend this care home!

I have been consistently visiting Desert Gardens for over a year as an exercise trainer with Tucson Corrective Exercise. Whether I am leading a group workout class or meeting an individual resident for an appointment, the attentive staff always goes above and beyond to make sure we have everything we need. Every resident I've met at Desert Gardens are happy, well cared for, and often participating in the fun activities offered at the home. The manager Tiffany's exceptional care and respect for her residents and anyone who comes through the door, makes this home one I enjoy visiting anytime.

Desert Gardens is an excellent choice for your loved one needing care. The staff is amazing, the food is delightful, and the home is always immaculate! In September we moved our mom from a prior assisted-living facility that had really gone downhill after the Covid lockdown. They were constantly short-staffed, low on food, and consistently failed to communicate with us about important care issues. At Desert Gardens, we have none of those concerns . They are always on top of medical issues, changes in behavior, need for supplies and chart all important issues for continuity of care. As a family, it’s so very important that we feel that there is a smooth transition day to day between caregivers. We feel very confident that things will be closely monitored when we are unable to be here. We are assured that our mom has excellent care at all times and that we are always kept in the loop if there is any change in our mom’s daily activities. Our mom has dementia and is not capable of speaking for herself, thus this is so comforting to know she is in excellent hands. When choosing a home for your loved one, please consider Desert Gardens. It’s never easy when a family makes a decision that their loved one needs to be placed in an assisted care facility because they can’t care for themselves anymore. Desert Gardens, however, was perfect for my mother and our family. The facility was small enough that it eased her transition from her own home to assisted care. It’s beautiful and homey and always smelled delicious from the scrumptious food they prepared for their residents. And the staff was so kind and loving that I always felt my mother was truly getting the best care possible. Even the visiting nurses told me Desert Gardens was one of the best places in Tucson. We will never regret our decision to go with Desert Gardens and will remain forever grateful to them for the love and care they gave our mother.
