DEWOLFE PLACE

My father stays full time at De Wolfe House and my mother stayed for two weeks while we were on a trip. I cannot say enough good things about this place. It’s not a facility it’s a home and for mom a home away from home. Staff are friendly and professional, often going above and beyond. Dad has dementia and they are very patient with him and truly work to preserve his humanity. They have never made him feel less than or a burden. I have seen a change in his demeanor, He seems happier and smiles more. The facility is very clean and pretty. You smell cinnamon and flowers which is not always the case in assisted living homes. During mom’s stay she was welcomed into the community and joined bingo and reading with my dad. Having dad stay away from home full time was the hardest decision we have ever made but seeing him thrive here has been a blessing. They even help us navigate VA benefits by providing resources and organizations that help. This will help pay for the majority of his stay.

They keep it spotless and are always touching up paint, cleaning carpets, and decorating for every holiday. They pay attention to residents, their likes, dislikes and special needs. There are activities for everyone and family night dinners each month. Director Terri has brought a "woman's touch" to the place that makes it truly feel like home for the residents. My mom and our family feel very blessed to have her in such great care.

My mom and my family absolutely love DeWolfe Place here in Marion. It's perfect for my mom and I'm so glad she's here and able to be close to me. DeWolfe's staff is caring, attentive, dedicated, and professional. My mom says the food is really good and we all love the monthly Family Nights and special events and activities. DeWolfe Place is smaller than other assisted living facilities, but I like that because I feel that the staff and team are able to attend to all of the residents better. We truly love DeWolfe Place!
