DIMENSIONS LIVING APPLETON

I had the pleasure of sharing Thanksgiving dinner with family and residents at DLA this season. The atmosphere was festive and the staff very attentive. I was thoroughly impressed with how organized everything was, as we were a large group. The best surprise however was the quality of the food. Typically, in a setting such as DLA, you expect “institutional” type food. Amazingly, it tasted fresh and homemade. Portions were more than adequate. It was a traditional Thanksgiving meal with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce and a selection of pie to choose from. Seconds were available, but the majority of us refused as we were all stuffed, lol.

Overall: This facility is unique in so many wonderful ways, but foremost in its culture- which is warm, welcoming, lively, and supportive. The knowledgeable care provided is courteous, professional, and on par with the needs of each person. First Impression: The first thing I noticed walking up to the entrance was the many residents sitting outside socializing and enjoying the lovely weather. As I walked around the interior there was a strong sense of connection. It was beautiful to see the way people stopped in the halls to greet and visit with each other. The friendliness of staff and residents alike truly reflects a sense that people matter. Carefully observing the interactions of care team members and residents gave me a sense of extended family. Decor and Fun: The decorations are cozy and beautiful, the staff is dedicated, there are always activities that have a solid attendance, and the people living there look content and engaged in life. Overall: There is a true sense of community and kindness permeating this facility and the leadership is very on top of things and running a “tight ship” in all the right ways. Takeaway: This is a place where people very much can feel alive and wanted- while being well cared for. It feels like a big home and I wish everyone who needed care could find a place like this. Truly a gem.

Our dad moved into Dimensions in August. He always says everyone who works there is so nice and he loves talking to all of his neighbors there. They serve good food. The staff is so good to him. There are many who live there that have been there for years and are still so pleased to be there. We looked at five places in the Valley. This was our first and to be honest it was a very easy decision. I feel like when staff is treated good and there is good management they are so much happier and the residents are treated so kindly. This is the case with Dimensions. I love going to visit dad, but I love seeing the friendly staff, and all of the sweet, beautiful, happy residents also.

Don't hesitate to move your loved one in here. You walk in and the place feels warm and welcoming. Every single staff member is very kind, friendly and welcoming. This place has an amazing vibe to it. Just doing the tour I felt at ease with this place. I toured other places and none of them felt like this place. I feel 200% at ease knowing my dad is here and feel complete trust in the staff that he is being treated well.

This place is great, I'm so happy with the the care my mother receives there. I am a registered nurse that sees clients in long term care settings in 13 counties. (I have no professional contact with Dimensions Living.) Dimensions is significantly better than any other long term care facility that I visit professionally. The atmosphere there is a lot more like family than facility. My mom really likes living there as well. The care staff, management, maintenance, activities, dietary, housekeeping, and nursing director are outstanding, bringing positive energy with them every day. I find them to be kind, professional, and emotionally invested in providing the highest level of care for the residents.
