Discovery Village at the West End

I have been at Discovery village of the west end for 4 months and my experience has been wonderful my experience in memory care is the most exciting journey I have been the staff is wonderful and every one works to get her I would recommend any family member to consider here you will be pleased.

From the start of the experience to the gracious end, very professional, most thorough, quite transparent and communicative. Mother's care was consistent, well managed, well executed from front end staff to the one's who cared for my mother's needs. DV worked hand in glove with Suncrest Hospice and together was the formidable team a son could hope for. Aesthetics do not make a facility good or great, they do not render care. I recommend DV for their people, the ones who have shown care from the heart, the folks that actually cared for my mother for many years.

I am a Hospice Chaplain and spend much time in this facility. The employees are all kind and loving. The building is attractive and safe. This is one of the best in Richmond. Highly recommended.

My mom has been thriving in the memory care unit thanks to a rock star staff! The staff in the memory care unit are highly engaged and it’s obvious that they love serving others. It was a tough decision to move mom from assisted living to memory care, but the difference in her quality of life has been dramatically positive. Both the memory care director, Regina, and her staff been super communicative. We’re always notified of changes in my mom’s care and needs. Dianna has been a delight as well. She’s always sharing positive stories about mom who is thriving in this new community. Besides the wonderful staff, I love the layout of memory care unit. I’ve seen memory care facilities with a central area like a prison yard. But Discovery Village’s memory care unit has different areas for different activities and a layout that makes the space feel expansive. Overall, would highly recommend!

My mom has been a resident in the Memory care at Discovery Village since June and we could not be happier with the facility. The staff is gracious and kind… very loving to my mom and very supportive to my brother and I. They treat my mom with dignity and respect and truly go above and beyond to make sure she is comfortable and feels safe. I would not want her to be anywhere else at this season of her life.
