This is a beautiful community with great sunrooms, courtyards, wonderful food, and all-inclusive pricing!

My Dad lived at Pruitt Place in Sandy Springs for a few months for assisted living and then hospice care. I cannot say how much this location meant to my Dad and to me, as his primary caregiver. The spaces were lovely and well maintained. My Dad absolutely loved the food, as did I when I would eat with him. There were always residents gathered and enjoying activities. Most importantly, the staff was particularly kind and helpful. I always felt informed and supported, and I never worried that my Dad wasn't being looked after. Finding the right place for our aging parents to be well taken care of and comfortable is very stressful, from the beginning of my Dad's stay until after his passing, the Pruitt Place Sandy Springs team were always amazing. I loved that price I was quoted was for all available care, there were no levels of care that added to the cost. I loved (and so did my Dad) that the spaces were more than just a room but actually had usable space and storage and a separate place to sleep and visit with folks (this was the mid level room that we chose, and it was perfect). I can't say enough good things about my family's experience at Pruitt Place Sandy Springs.

Pruitt Place is not the place I would recommend for a loved one. I recently toured the facility, and while the outside appearance is nice, looks can be deceiving. Unfortunately, once inside, I noticed a strong smell of urine throughout the building, and the facility did not appear to be well-maintained. The memory care unit, in particular, did not give me the impression that it was an appropriate or comfortable environment for someone’s loved one. I was also informed that residents pay a significant amount in rent, but based on what I observed, the condition and upkeep of the facility do not seem to reflect what residents are paying. I have expressed my concerns to the CEO on countless occasions, yet I have not seen the changes I believe are necessary. For these reasons, I would encourage families to thoroughly research the facility and consider other options before choosing Pruitt Place for their loved one.
