DOGWOOD TRAILS ASSISTED LIVING COMMUNITY

My sister-in-law who has Alzheimer"s became very frightened after a man accidentally walked into her room at a different placement. There was no reasoning with her and so for her well-being we needed to move her ASAP. I contacted Dogwood Trails late morning on a Friday, set up tour for early afternoon that day and were moving her in by that evening. The management stayed well past 5, one even missing part of her daughter's soccer game to assure everything was completed. No, it wasn't because they needed the business, this was the last room available in the assisted living area. It was because they are the most professional, caring and genuinely helpful and supportive to residents and family we have ever experienced! During the tour, they arranged for us to have lunch. The chef, yes a real chef, Anthony's cusine was amazing! Stuffed mushrooms, beef wellington finished with a chocolate lava cake! We were all ready to move in just for the food and my sister-in-law was thrilled. This was not a one time occurance, the food is excellent and there are always choices for the residents. Sandra, the sales manager, was amazing! She worked with us to expedite the move and has been very responsive since when we text her asking for staff to provide additional assistance as my sister-in-law gets familiar with the new place. The staff are friendly and responsive. One night my sister-in-law was calling repeatedly and it was around 11 when we finally convinced her to push her white button that calls for staff. Stephanie responded and didn't know we were still on the phone. We could hear her reassuring my sister-in-law that she was safe, the door was locked and only staff had a key. She reviewed the white button again with her and told her if she needed anything she should push the button and Stephanie would be there. She was patience and kind and had a calming affect on my sister-in-law and she soon went to sleep. Rachel too is another medtech who has been supportive of her transistion and gets her for meals, or helps her back to her room as she still gets lost. She is very responsive to all of her needs and is patient and friendly and my sister-in-law really likes that she doesn't make her feel foolish. Even the Concierge, Stacey, when we called her one evening answered the phone and said she would go find our sister-in-law and assist her because she had called us saying she couldn't find her way to her room. I know this is long but I wanted to give tangible exampls of the professionalism, supportive and friendly care that everyone at Dogwood Trails provides to our family. Our only regret is that we didn't move her here in the first place. The pricing is very reasonable for the services and quality they provide. I would give them 10 stars if I could, they are beyond excellent, they are the gold standard of what an assisted living facility and their staff should be!

My parents are both there and this facility is amazing. Staff are helpful and keep me updated on their status all the way from Arizona. Great facility.

As an ER nurse at our local hospital I have treated the residents from Dogwood Trails and I have spoken with the staff that helps care for the residents. They are caring and compassionate and they want the best care for their residents. When the resident is experiencing discomfort they don’t hesitate to get care for them. They are the only Assisted Living center that I have noticed call and check on their residents while they are being treated in the Emergency Department. I highly recommend Dogwood Trails Assisted living center.

Dogwood Trails Memory Care has been such a blessing. Mom was so unhappy at the nursing home, always asking us to take her home. But she is so happy at Dogwood Trails that last week she asked Dad if she could live there forever. Knowing she is well cared for and happy is such a relief for all of us who love her. I love the staff, the facilities are lovely, it's a good place!

I have been very happy with choosing Dogwood Trails Assisted Living for my Momma. It was a decision I labored with for far too long, she has prospered since moving there. She has the thing that people miss when growing old at home, and that is community. She is very well cared for, great food, attentive staff, and plenty of fun activities. I highly recommend!
