Morning shift loves to mess around and risk leaving seniors unattended. They dont want to take care of our family that are so important to us, why? Because we are not important to them. They are no help and should be replaced. How does the shift with the most workers produce the worst results? Just a bunch of bad apples

I was so very impressed with my tour of Downriver Estates. All the staff like each other and playful banter fills the halls creating a positive atmosphere! The Executive Director Jake, is very hands on. He impressed me as the type of leader who empowers his employees. It shows in the low turn over rate in staff. One woman has been there 18 years! Also the head of the Memory Care dementia social development is VERY experienced person on how to motivate and guide people with dementia. She’s passionate about what she does. God bless you all for your dedication to people in the last years of their lives. The main reason we are not going with them is distance. It would take us almost a half hour to drive there. I wish they were closer. UPDATE: In February we moved my Dad there and have been very happy.

My Dad has lived here since October, 2024. The staff and caretakers are so nice and helpful! My Dad says " they never have a bad day" ! I'm so thankful we found Downriver Estates , he is happy here and that gives me peace of mind! He says the food is great, too!

I see some poor reviews from years ago. My mother has been a resident for 6 months and she loves it. She/we have not had 1 single complaint. All of the aides are very nice to us and her. The ladies in physical therapy are great, very nice and patient with her. She enjoys the food and the nightly games they play after dinner. I would recommend the facility to anyone looking into a assisted living facility.

Our mother was first staying in assistant living and we realized that the assistant living wasn’t enough for her so she was put in memory care. Although it was hard to do this we knew it was the best for our mom. If it had not been for Penny and her staff I don’t think we could’ve endured her being there. Penny treats the patients as if they’re her own parents. When Covid struck it was hard not to be able go in and see our mom but Penny made every effort for us to see her either through the window or FaceTime using her own phone. We will forever be grateful that our mom was treated just as well as if she were at home.
