Take your rose colored glasses off and really tour the place. The place is run down & filthy. Meals are unbalanced, the food, of poor quality and often unpalatable. There seem to be a few exceptional staff, most are unprofessional and rude though, and can barely be bothered to look up from their phone screens to acknowledge a person. During the many times that I stopped by to visit my old neighbor, I've noticed that the majority of the residents seem bored and miserable. My friend/neighbor has said that they stayed as long as they did only because they had limited options and because they wished to remain local. Just me or does anyone else find it odd that the owner's last name is the same as a few of the positive "reviewers"?

I would not recommend this facility. The staff exhibited unprofessional behavior, with some nurses and direct support staff reportedly spending time gossiping instead of attending to residents. Fortunately, we were able to move my aunt out of there, as she developed severe bedsores. However, there were three staff members who demonstrated genuine care—her names were Jean and Dallas, and there was also a very attentive young man working in the kitchen who exemplified compassion and dedication. I plan to report this facility to the appropriate state authorities due to the concerns observed.
