EATON PLACE

I’m writing to review Eaton Place, a residential care facility owned by BL Homes, Inc., located in Alamo, CA. My wife was diagnosed with dementia in early 2020. In mid-2022, after developing Parkinson’s-like symptoms, she lost the use of her legs, arms, and hands. She also had a colostomy. Being unable to care for her alone, I placed her at Eaton Place. From the day of my admittance interview with Anabelle, one of the Administrators/Owners, until the day my wife passed away six months later, I was treated with respect and caring by everyone in the Better Living/Eaton Place, from the owners to the caregivers. The care given to my wife was better than I could have ever hoped for. The food was excellent and plentiful. Every day I received an update on my wife’s condition, medication, and behavior when I visited. Caring for my wife was difficult because of her infirmities but care was always provided by the staff with tenderness and understanding. The owners and the staff have been in the business for many years and they often provided very helpful input to me when I was dealing with the hospital, my wife’s physicians, and more mundane issues like having her transported to appointments and the like. Eaton Place is a beautiful, spacious, well-appointed facility. Linda had a large, private room with a high ceiling, en suite bathroom, a sliding glass door which accessed the very nice backyard and provided lots of light, TV, hospital-like bed, wardrobe, and recliner. I believe the capacity for the facility is six residents. If your loved one needs residential care and is in the area, I firmly believe you could not choose a better place.
