ECHELON ASSISTED LIVING, THE

I am giving 4 stars because of the care my father received there. They bent over backwards to honor his requests and the staff took care of him well, especially the nursing staff and Mark in maintenance. My biggest complaint, and for this I'd give only 1 star, is that I never received my father's refund once he passed away. I was told it was mailed but I never received it. I was in contact with their financial director to let them know I did not receive the refund and requested the check to be sent again. I even asked them if the check had been deposited because I have no record of the refund being deposited. I got an email saying she'd check into it and never heard back. I sent numerous emails and left a couple of messages for her, but never received the courtesy of a returned call. It's been over 2 months since my father passed away, and still no response. Based on other reviews I've read, this seems to be a common practice.

I can’t say enough good things about The Echelon! The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and truly feels like a community rather than just a facility. The staff go above and beyond every single day. They are caring, patient, and genuinely invested in each resident’s well-being. Whether it’s the friendly greeting at breakfast, help with transportation, or organizing fun activities, their kindness shines through in everything they do. The apartments are bright, spacious, and thoughtfully designed for independent living, with safety features that bring peace of mind without sacrificing comfort. The dining options are excellent — healthy, delicious, and varied — and the common areas are always spotless and inviting. What really stands out is the sense of belonging. The residents have made wonderful friends here and look forward to social events, and outings. It’s been such a joy to see them so engaged, happy, and independent. If you’re looking for a place that combines independence, community, and compassionate care, I highly recommend The Echelon.

We love the Echelon of Medina! As an outside vendor partnering with their team to care for their community, they are extremely pleasant and easy to work with. They have the friendliest staff I’ve ever met. I'm always greeted with a smile at the front desk, and everyone is so helpful. The nursing and office staff are very accommodating and always go above and beyond for their residents. This team works vigorously to ensure their residents are well taken care of and feel at home.
