EL RIO MEMORY CARE COMMUNITY

Mother has been here for 9 months now. It's still hard on her at times but when asked if she wants to leave, her reply is always "but my friends are here." And who would take care of her? The care is far above anything I have seen. The nurses and caregivers are awesome and extremely friendly! If there is an issue, the administration has an open door (and open ear policy)! Their care and personal touches makes myself and my family feel better about leaving her!! If mom 's happy, then we're happy!!

This is NOT the place for loved ones that still have high brain function, have multiple complex health issues, and need supervision. You will pay $7,300 per month and watch your loved one go down hill faster than you can imagine. From med overdoses to altercations that left my dad with skin tears, fractured finger and substantial health issues (that had been resovlved BEFORE he arrived), the list goes on. If you try to get involved, as a RN daughter, they will tell their staff to avoid and not give you any information, even if you are on the list of approved persons to give information to. They were afraid of their actions enough to call the state, concerned that I may turn them in. We brought him home with hired help and he is healthy and happier.

Choosing memory care is never easy, but this community truly exceeds expectations. From the very beginning, it is warm, welcoming, and more like a home than a facility. The caregivers treat residents with such patience and dignity. They genuinely know each resident as their own, not just their chart. If you’re looking for a place where your loved one will be treated like family, this is it- this is a home away from home.

I would definitely recommend El Rio Memory Care Center for anyone that needs help with a loved one with dementia. They took very good care of my mom. I will always be grateful for all their compassion & kindness.

Based on our experience at El Rio, we’ve been very appreciative of the genuine caring all staff display in their daily interactions with the residents and the efficient care. The environment is warm and home-like and we wouldn’t consider anywhere else.
