I wanted to start up by saying that I do not usually write reviews The when things are done the right way there’s no other option. First and foremost, the staff at Watercrest has been excellent. To start off with the wellness Director Jennifer Sparkman. So highly experienced and knowledgeable with a huge heart that always goes above and beyond.. Kayla Ramos the enrichment director. Oh my God, this woman just kept us on our toes, constant events and activities for all the residents. And lastly, but nowhere near least, Miss Cathy, the executive Director. What a wonderful woman, a true asset to Watercrest we consider her family. If you just walk in and look at the residents you will see all smiles. That should tell you everything as to what a wonderful community Watercrest Spanish Springs is.

Our mom has been at WaterCrest Spanish Springs since March. The staff amazes me, they remember me, they remember what I was asking about yesterday and have an answer, they know me, they know her, they know where she is and who she is with . . . I don't know how they consistently keep track of everything and everyone, but they do. And I rest easier because of them.

The Activity Director is absolutely fantastic! Her passion for engaging residents is evident in every program they offer. From creative arts and crafts to lively game nights and themed parties, there is never a dull moment. What sets her apart is the personal connection she makes with each resident. She take the time to learn individual preferences and make sure everyone has activities they enjoy. There’s always something exciting on the schedule, and it's clear the director genuinely cares about enriching the lives of the residents.

We had a wonderful lunch experience at Watercrest Spanish Spring. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the dining area was bright, clean, and comfortable. The staff were kind and attentive, making everyone feel at ease. The meal was thoughtfully prepared — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully served. What stood out most was the sense of community and warmth among the residents and team. It’s clear that this is a place where people feel at home. Thank you for the lovely experience!

Update: July 19, 2023.. Staying true to form.. despite their reply to my critical review there has been no effort on their part to reach out. Pretty much the same as it always has been over the last couple of years. My opinion has not changed. Was a good, caring place as Elan.. Then Watercrest took over and downhill it went, Right to the end when the senior we loved that was living there passed away. From the first they said the senior was eating when we asked but that wasn't happening, to the hygiene issues they were supposed to be monitoring, that wasn't happening. House cleaning wouldn't do next to nothing.. Even when we were there and could see it NOT being done. Leaving the door unlocked for anyone to come in when the resident was unable to respond or control what was going on. No matter how we tried to stop that with a sign on the door and phone calls to staff, we'd walk in and the door would be unlocked again leaving the vulnerable resident unprotected. By the way...good luck getting staff on the phone or call you back, the resident was not able to answer the phone and no one would help. Not even fixing the loose toilet seat when requested.. it would slide right off... We ended up fixing that ourselves. The director even met us up at the apartment and declared it unacceptable.. Said she would get it all taken care of, nothing changed. By the end It left us pretty upset as we were not close by all the time and counted on then to keep an eye out and Keep the place clean. When it was over even the financial portion was messy. We had paid in advance for the month after the resident passed a away. It took months of back and forth to get refunded properly. And still it was a lesser amount than what we should have gotten. But dealing with the death took a lot of steam out of fighting to get back the proper amount so we just let it go. Say what you will in response but this is what was happening. The only way I could get things done or get information was to physically go and hunt down people and nearly beg for their help. And many times that didn't help. Just no information when I had PoA, Health Surrogate, paid the rent and signed contracts. Nothing but confusion towards the end. But still blaming myself for not being a more on top of things and more forceful all around. Don't depend on this group to do what you paying for... even when you are standing there. There was one or two people on staff who at least acted like they cared. We do appreciate them.
