ELIZABETH RESIDENCE OF BAYSIDE

I moved my husband into the assisted living at Elizabeth Residence two years ago. He has Frontal Temporal Dementia. His needs have and continue to increase and thanks to a Petra, Lesley and the entire staff his needs have and continue to be met. The entire staff is friendly, competent and easy to work with. They know Wayne and are good to him. He is treated like a family member. The culture is one of care and compassion. Elizabeth Residence is clean, inviting, and charming. There are numerous activities and events. Family members are always welcome. I highly recommend this as a place to be.

Elizabeth Residence Bayside has been a life saver for my elderly parents. Both are in their 90s mom has dementia & dad is in the assisted living portion. The care they both receive is better than we could have ever imagined. The staff and management are some of the kindest and most dedicated professionals I’ve seen in any sort of nursing facility. As someone who has *never* written an online review in their life, I felt it important to get this review out. Both of my parents have been residents of this exceptional facility, both in the assisted living apartments and in the comprehensive care unit. The level of care, compassion and community is simply unmatched. There is undoubtably a very family feel to this community as every single employee no matter their role is focused and committed to making a caring living space. My father dealt with a dual diagnosis of Parkinson's and dementia received not only thoughtful care but also made real relationships with residents, all of the caregivers and every last member of the nursing staff. Although his last few years were physically and mentally challenging, he was connected, comfortable and safe until the very end filled with so much genuine love and support. My mother transitioned into the comprehensive care unit after suffering a major stroke. She has many friends, has an incredible support network with her caregivers and the nursing staff and is *always* involved in the many activities that take place very day. Each night when I talk with her she comments on 'another good day'. As for me, I am 1200 miles from home due to work. The staff and I stay connected with everything, and they help me coordinate care from a distance. I too have made some lifelong friends with this exceptional staff. If you searching for a smaller community with tight-knit, active, involved-with a staff dedicated to making an enormous positive difference in people's lives, you simply can't do any better than Elizabeth Residence. *Highly* recommended.

I just wanted to take a moment to share my gratitude for the staff at Elizabeth Residence. My Mom was not doing well in her journey with Alzheimer’s/Dementia and we needed to find a different facility to meet her needs. When she moved to Elizabeth Residence she had a remarkable transformation and has been so content and happy for the past 4 plus years. The entire staff is what really makes Elizabeth Residence special they truly care. You can feel very comfortable with having your loved ones in their care.

I am so impressed with how much they care and how professionally they approach their jobs. The activity coordinators do an amazing job planning and executing activities and always welcome family to join in. I have family in other facilities and the big difference with Elizabeth Residence is that it truly feels like a family place, not just how they care for the residents but also how they communicate with the family which is different from many "large corporate facilities" focused on the bottom line. I feel like the staff at Elizabeth Residence is an extension of my own family. My mom tells me just about every visit how much she likes it at Elizabeth Residence and how happy she is to be there because of all the activities and how nice the staff is. That to me, says it all.
