My family was misled to thinking it was a wonderful place for my dad. Within months he went from being mobile to being forced to be in a chair. It was more convenient to put diapers on him than to toilet him. He would sit for hours before anyone would help him off the toilet. He had multiple UTI’s., bed sores, missed meals ( because they forgot him). They took away his call button so he wouldn’t call them for little things. I showed up one day to his legs held down with a weight and him laying in bm with only a tank T-shirt and diaper on. He was trying to eat lying down flat in bed. We were getting him out of there days after. My father died shortly after. Please do not send your loved one here.

Nice place for independent residents. Staff on 1st shift is awesome. They have an amazing activity lady that keeps the residents busy everyday.

High Point Residence Port Washington is warm, caring, and truly feels like home. The staff goes above and beyond, and the Executive Director leads with genuine compassion and dedication. It’s a wonderful, safe place to live, and I highly recommend it.

My mother recently moved into High Point Residence Port Washington and it has truly been the best decision, it has been absolutely wonderful for my mom. The staff are caring, attentive, and truly treat residents like family. The building is always clean, welcoming, and filled with kindness. I have complete peace of mind knowing my mom is so well cared for, I highly recommend this assisted living to anyone looking for compassionate care!

High Point Residence - Port Washington (formerly Ellen’s Home) is one of the assisted livings that I have had the pleasure of visiting for the last 8 months. The setting in the country side makes it feel very homey and safe. The activity director is always providing the residents with fun things to do and keeping the building decorated beautifully according to the holidays and seasons. The residents are always occupied with musicians visiting, animals visiting, and great physical activities too. The building itself is always very clean and well maintained. This specific assisted living is one of the few in the area that I would recommend my own family to, if needed. Yvette, the director treats the residents as if they were her own family - a true blessing to all the residents that currently live there now.
