I was looking for a place for my mom to go for a few days respite-keeping in mind if she wanted to stay & liked it-I'd have a future solution for her when things got worse with her dementia. I called alot of places that would not take my mom because I told them (when they asked) that once in awhile she has some aggression with her dementia. Most places I got in touch with that wouldn't take her for one reason or another really didn't try to help or seemed like they were too busy. On one of my searches I called and spoke to Ray Enrique at Sodalis and was very impressed with his willingness to give me the time I needed to ask questions and find out more about Sodalis. He told me alot about the facility & answered all my questions & concerns, and just when i was thinking this is the perfect place for mom & started feeling hopeful, we both realized Sodalis wouldn't be a good fit because she may need skilled nursing, but mainly because they weren't medicaid certified & I would need Medicaid to help pay. Sending a parent or loved one to a Nursing Home is extremely hard thing to do in the first place, but knowing you can no longer provide the care they need, its comforting to know there are some good places out there that would give them the kind of care you would if you were able. I have a list of priorities & questions I use when I call places and everything i wanted for my mom besides skilled nursing, Sodalis provided & checked every box i Had. I highly recommend Sodalis as it sounds like a great place to send your loved ones to-one which would treat them with dignity & respect where you wouldn't have to worry about their care (never ending with me). Rey was willing to take mom for respite care & would have came to our house to determine the fit & her needs, but knowing we couldn't afford it as a permanent solution without Medicaid help (if she wanted to stay there) I sent her elsewhere for 5 days only. Thank You for your time & patience Rey! Your One in a million! And really wish I could send mom there as my main priority is her happiness & care.

My mother came to me 3 years ago after my brother passed away. I kept her home as long as I could then I found Sodalis. I really enjoyed how much they cared for my mother there, how involved they were with her needs. The facility is set up very nice, very clean and orderly and the grounds are well kept and beautiful during the spring and summer months, perfect for relaxing and gazing off. I want to thank each of the staff new and old for caring for my mother as well as you did. She already misses you all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and God Bless you.

My mother lived there the last two years of her life, recently passing on at 103 years of age. She liked her efficiency apartment and grew to love many who cared for her there. The staff negotiated the delicate balance between her needing assistance but refusing to ask for it as best they could, with my brother running interference as needed. Once the new facilities director took over, the cleanliness issue in her apartment improved as well as activities and opportunities to engage with others. Originally my brother and I looked at three facilities in Temple and we were glad we chose Sodalis.

I just wanted to share the amazing impact Sodalis has had, not only on my mother's life but on the lives of her entire family. Recently my mom has experienced a number of falls that led her to be hospitalized and then sent to rehabs. This happened more than once and became a situation where she was transitioned from facility to facility (some better than others) without full understanding of why she could not "go home". Unfortunately she could not go to a home that did not have levels of care because she needed additional help to prevent more falls and injuries. And so I engaged with Roy Enriquez at Sodalis. He was professional, informative, and extremely kind from the beginning. Then as we made the transition we realized that he was not the only one. The whole community and its entire staff have proved to be beyond just professional, but loving and supportive during this difficult time. They have gone the extra mile to show love to my mom and the result is evident! She has only been in the community for a very short time but her whole countenance has changed. She is optimistic and her mental health is starting to impact her physical health in positive ways. There is no way to know if my mom will ever experience another fall or setback, or if she will bounce back and become as independent as she once was, but what I do know is that the community where she now lives will handle whatever comes with grace, and as a person that has watched this spiraling situation for two months, I feel very secure in knowing that she is cared for by good people and that we have made the best decision that we possibly could have. And for that I just want to say Thank You!

This is a nice assisted living facility. The outside grounds were well kept. Main area you first walk into was very clean and organized as well as the hallways. Rooms were clean and free of odors. The visitors bathroom was clean and well stocked. I thought the theater room was a good size and well arranged for all to see hear the T.V. Last but not least the cafeteria was clean and tidy, plates and silverware was clean and floors maintained, the staff was very helpful and polite. This was a overall good experience.
