We looked all over for a place for our Dad. It’s never easy. As soon as I walked in, it was so homey. Tina greets you with a big smile. The residents are walking around smiling and speaking to you or sitting by the fire with their company. Our Dad needed the Memory Care facility. I was so comforted by their small number of rooms. It’s all together in a circle. A large sitting area with comfy chairs to watch a large TV. A piano if you like to play. All staff intermingles to both areas. So they are familiar with all residents and their particular personalities. It’s a hard job what they see everyday and we are so thankful. We too visited FREQUENTLY! The attentiveness and special care is beyond measure. You get close to all of them-they truly feel like family. They worry just as family. A HUGE thank you to Tiwanda Ebony and Jamal. Who were my dad’s favorites. They could always get a smile out of him. He had other favorites. Cherise Octavia Brittany -lil Kiki 😊 Tay Tay Kay Kay they all knew he was a joker and just wanted to make them laugh. There are so many more. Just a loss of names. The family is welcomed at anytime and made to feel that way. It’s all how you make it. Thank you again. We Love You All

We don’t have the issues other people have bc we visit FREQUENTLY, are in contact with all providers, and have found the staff to be attentive. The stress of senior care is equivalent to public education. You have to do your part instead of acting like paid professionals can be family surrogates. They can’t. The parking lot should always be full of visitors, it is not. The Senior Prom was the most visitors I’ve ever seen. 5 Stars. Edit: I received a Google notification that this review reached 5,000 views. I had forgot about it. This review was for Elmcroft senior living, the former name of the now Pines at Florence ALF. During the pandemic, Elmcroft would not let us remove our mother to care for her in her house. They received $4200/month from her private insurance which we would’ve forfeited so she could have QUALITY OF LIFE. The seniors were confined to their rooms. Dining alone or sometimes with a staff member. The visited with us through the glass of a locked front door. This is how she spent her last year of life. She was and remains a highly respected member of Darlington, SC. She deserved better. Let my renewed one star edit bring whatever justice to families of anyone hesitating to choose this place. I doubt policy or wages changed.

I was gladly asked to do a review of this facility where my mom is. I can say the last two months have greatly improved my faith and praise. They may not wanted me to say that. But the friendliness and the atmosphere has improved greatly. The Director has boundless energy and always greets you with a smile and has unlimited knowledge because she's also a nurse. Tiwanda the med supervisor is as sweet and thoughtful as can be. My mom is truly happy here and I'm happy too. Huge difference and a welcome one. Definitely the place to send your family member.

Unfortunately, we like so many other children found this place necessary for our father. The staff is excellent. We had one communication error in the beginning, which was quickly resolved, and never happened again they treat my father like a member of their family if we ask a staff member to do something or double check something it’s done right away, it’s clean well-maintained they know our names and who were there to see every time we walk in the door the only issue that we really have is when a staff member leaves. The residents aren’t really told why and that’s a shame because some of the residents get so close with the staff members, overall a very happy experience for what we have to go through. Definitely would recommend it.

To: The Corporate Team of Wren Creek I had the pleasure of meeting two of your outstanding employees, Sherri Scott, Executive Director & Wendy Lynch, Community Relations Director. Both of them were amazingly compassionate and clear communicators. They answered every question thoughtfully, thoroughly, and with heart. Both Sherri & Wendy were available for multiple room tours; they tailored our visit that exceeded all expectations. These two are definitely in the right roles for your facility! In closing, please know that I am beyond appreciative for all the interactions with them. Sherri & Wendy, keep doing what you are doing, you both demonstrated customer care above and beyond anything I could have wished for, and I am confident you do this with everyone working through these same difficult transitions. Thank you!
