The best care team I have ever worked with. Resident oriented, making sure care plans are satisfactorily implemented and followed. Best food for the residents, great activities to keep residents involved in the community, and wonderful loving vibes!

Emerald Bay Hobart is a fantastic choice for our Elderly Parent. We just enjoyed an early Thanksgiving event last week and such a thoughtful event. I've been to this facility to help out Mom several times, often in same week. The staff treats their residents with care, concern, compassion and dignity. I've see staff come in on their days off to spent time with their "other family". I know several staff by face and name now-and they asked about my health earlier this year after I had an accident. They treat the residents like their own family. They have many activities for the residents and they even take them out fishing or to the casinos. There are crafts, baking, bingo manicure days and church services. They welcome outside groups into the facility to offer alternatives for entertainment. Care dogs, singing and music, even Anston youth FFA came in with Bingo and prizes for residents. There is always something fun to do. The care they offer is heartwarming and offers piece of mind knowing that Mom's needs are being met.

Mom lived at Emerald Bay for 5 years. She chose to live there the rest of her life. The staff taking care of her were loving and caring. The management and owners were heartless with their decision to evict mom and others because of money. That was such a disregard of a human life. They broke moms heart and mine too. Yes mom had dementia but she deserved to be treated with much more respect than what she was given at the end. It’s a risk going into a retirement facility because if you run out of money and you’re on Medicaid , you can still be evicted.

I was here for a vendor show, and I could not believe how polite and accommodating the staff is. I observed a staff member interacting with a client or a resident whatever you wanna call the person living there and the person was so happy! I spoke to a couple other people that live here and they said they loved it. I might want to add. It was spotless, meticulous, so clean. The employees looked very well-kept in appearance and well mannered. I would recommend this to even my family members and hopefully if I’m too old to do things on my own they will allow me to live here. I would give them a 10*but it only goes to five.

I got to Mum’s apartment and she was sitting up in bed eating breakfast. The Hospice RN had brought in the larger yellow briefs one of the caregivers asked me to order from Hospice. I took one brief out of the package and laid it out on top of the package. It was still there when I came back from a noon errand. Not sure my Mom was changed. They did change her shortly after I returned. I asked Mum if she had her dentures in, she checked and nope she didn’t. I found them in the bathroom soaking so brushed them and helped her line them up for her to adjust. She seemed to do fine without her upper partial but her toast and watermelon still sat on her tray. She ate some of her toast and all of her watermelon once she had her teeth. Most of the staff are very sweet to my mom and obviously know her preferences. So thankful for that. Sincerely, Vicki Reed
