EMERALD ESTATE SENIOR LIVING

My mother has been a resident of Emerald for over a year and a half now. We could not be more pleased with the care and attention she has received. The care staff is exceptional in their loving, and attentive approach. Special order home cooked meals are the norm and residents enjoy dinners together in the dining room. Social activities are provided along with exercise and walks around the block. We have had previous experiences with other care homes with other family members - so we are very comfortable in stating that Kimi and Emerald set a new standard.

We brought our dad to Emerald Estates after he had a bad fall at a larger care home. We did our research and went to five other small care homes and thought Emerald Estates really stood out from the other homes. We have been very happy with our choice. The care is outstanding here. Dad had Sun Downer’s when we brought him and we needed a place where they could keep an eye on him at night too. The staff is so kind and caring. They have done a great job giving him his medications, keeping him clean, providing wonderful home cooked meals, and working with his dementia. The house is kept very clean, and they try very hard to get special food and items the residents request or enjoy. One of the reasons we first chose Emerald Estates was we liked that Kimi, the owner, is both a hospice and a hospital nurse. If any of the caregivers have medical concerns, Kimi checks and oversees the residents' care. Every time we visit dad, he is happy and well cared for. As a nurse that frequents these sort of facilities often, I can with all honesty say this is the best one I’ve been in. The owner cares deeply for the well being of the residences and her own nursing knowledge allows her to advocate for residents and their families. The staff is top notch and always trained correctly or willing to learn. Danelle and Sharunda are amazing and care for everyone as if they were their own family members. Home cooked meals and fresh snacks are available daily, facilities are clean and organized, and daily/monthly activities like bingo, music, and seasonal arts and crafts keep residents active and engaged.
