EVIN AT OCONOMOWOC SPECIALTY CARE

Unfortunately this place is not as it was Updated 6/11/2025 I lived there for four years I moved out last July the people that live there are fantastic most of the staff that helped the residence are fantastic but the management company is horrible Lies they don’t listen when the residents complain about things they just say what sounds good and they do nothing I would never live again in a building owned by this management company it’s really sad the staff the people love get fired residence will get a little bit difficult instead of being cared for and cared about are kicked out it’s it’s not what I thought it was I moved in January 1 of 2021 because my husband died in September 2020 so I move back to Wisconsin from Arizona to be closer to family. I was looking for a place to land at one of the most difficult times of my life and the people especially the staff of Evin have more than exceeded my expectations. There is no Problem or concern no matter how big or small but I’ve ever brought to staff they have not listened with concern and caring and done whatever they could to fix , it’s impressive that they listen so well to all of us here and while everything might not always be perfect like any apartment complex that they care so much about each individual who lives here, to me is the most important thing and the reason I am so happy here. The residents have created a family here & as each new person joins us we just roll them into the family we all keep an eye on each other, we all care a great deal for each other, the building is filled with love and laughter.

We are so grateful to have found a home where our loved one can not only live, but thrive. I have had the pleasure of going to Evin over the last 6 months as a hospice nurse. The building is beautiful, clean and inviting. I have always been welcomed by staff and feel accepted as a part of their team despite coming from an outside provider. Most of my time has been spent in the memory care unit which has a calming atmosphere. Staff always have an immediate update on how hospice patients are doing and are willing to help assist with cares with a pleasant attitude. Management has been amazing to work with, very responsive with great communication and always have the residents best interest at heart. There are always fun activities going on around the building which include family and friends. Evin is a wonderful community, I would have no hesitation choosing it for a family member!

Our family was extremely grateful for the outstanding care of our wife and mother, Ellen, during the transition from memory care to hospice. The care from both Evin's staff and the hospice team was nothing but extraordinary. The entire period of her illness she was kept pain-free and comfortable. The staff was patient, attentive and gentle with her care and also with her husband and family during her hospice stay. We as a family would recommend Evin as a place for your loved one.
