My grandfather was a resident here & was losing a significant amount of weight. His wife was bringing in some homemade meals for him to eat, in hopes of getting him to gain some weight. Irene, the director, told my grandfather's wife that my grandfather was GAINING too much weight, when that was very incorrect. When talking about the meals that his wife was bringing in, Irene told her, "By bringing in more food, all you do is make more poop for us to clean up!" Absolutely DESPICABLE. When I'd visit my grandfather, every single resident looked completely sedated, slumped over on the couch. It was extremely depressing. The bathrooms were never clean... always full of urine on the floor. If you don't care about your loved one, send them here.

My mom has been there for over 5 years. Didn't like making an appointment during covid to see my own mother, but I understood why at first. But that went on until just recently, and they got a little snippy about making an appointment.I got snippy back. All the other facilities had eased up on the covid thing weeks prior. I thought that was a bit much. I miss several of the employees who no longer work there. They were so good to my mom. And they kept me informed on how she was eating and things. Not so much now. 😞

I am a relative of a past resident I would never recommend this place to anyone, this place in my opinion is so mismanaged. My grandmother stayed here and in my opinion due to the lack of care, she fell and ended up in the hospital several times (she never ever fell in the place we transferred her to) , she was never the same. One of the employees would constantly argue with her, trying to correct her, she has Alzheimers, can't you just agree with someone and leave it alone, why do you feel the need to anger her by being right? It is supposed to be a locked facility but my grandmother left several times and they had to go running after her. To elaborate in my opinion, this happened because the place is understaffed. Vistors come in and out and this creates an opportunity for residents to leave when there is no one at the desk. At the end, my grandmother was barely eating, she needed help but was not given the help she needed, sometimes the staff would just watch her struggling to feed herself, I saw this several times with my own eyes when I came in for a surprise visit, we were told by the owner and several staff that she was dying because she was not eating enough, so we took her out of that place and brought her to another place where they helped her feed herself and she was restored her back to health and she was able to enjoy the remaining time in her life with care and love. In reference to Bella Garalde's review, I corrected my review to point out it was an employee and elaborated how my grandmother got out but the rest is our experience with Fairgreen Assisted Living and I did not get it confused with any other establishment because my grandmother only stay in two place and I visted there many times.

In reference to Cynthia Ravosa's review about Fairgreen. Do you know that Fairgreen does not employ nurses? Also there is no way a person with Alzheimer like your grandmother can key in the code for the secured door and get out as often as you said she did. So could it be that you are confusing Fairgreen with another facility your grandmother was in? Your comment was all untrue and inflammatory. Please get your story right!
