FIVE STAR PREMIER RESIDENCES OF HOLLYWOOD

We recently celebrated my mom’s 90th birthday at The Terraces at Hollywood, and it was absolutely unforgettable! The entire community came together to make her day so special — from the beautifully decorated space to the warm smiles and genuine care from the staff and residents. Everyone treated her like family, and you could feel the love in the room. The team went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect, and my mom was beaming the whole time. It’s rare to find a place where people truly care, but The Terraces is exactly that — a place filled with kindness, joy, and community spirit. We are so grateful for the memories they helped us create. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a vibrant, caring independent living community!

The assisted living situation has deteriorated drastically in the past few months. After having had our parents there for almost 5 years we are strongly considering moving them. Trying to communicate with any management staff is impossible as the phone system doesn't actually connect to their offices; one ends up in circles. The apartment is filthy. It is dirty, with sticky floors, moldy bathroom tile and counter tops that are gummed up with spilled beverages or juice from fruit. My efforts to get a housekeeper to address any specific problem when I visit is useless. I could not recommend this place to anyone!

My uncle was a resident of The Terraces at Hollywood (previously Five Star Premiere) for a little over a year until he sadly passed away late last year. This review is specifically to say how wonderful, helpful and hard working both Sadie and Paulette are. They work at the concierge desk on the assisted living side. I have oftentimes seen them deal with multiple people needing different things at the same time and they always come through. They have always been there when needed, and not only that, they do so with a smile and the utmost professionalism. Thank you Sadie and Paulette for everything you do!

Choosing an ALF for a parent is not a task to take lightly. Do your homework, take a tour, ask lots of questions. Fortunately, my research took me to Five Star Premier of Hollywood right out of the gate. The community is beautiful and well maintained. But more importantly, the staff are cheerful and helpful and the residents seem very happy. The Director of Sales, Darline, and her team guided us through the transition from sign-up all the way to move in day with great communication. The ALF Concierge, Sadie, coordinated our furniture deliveries. David, the Activities Director, planned a warm welcoming group for my mom the day she arrived. The aides and nurses are attentive and approachable. Many are proud to share how long they have worked here; a very good sign. I have peace of mind knowing my mom is safe. In the six weeks since she has been here, she has had much more social interaction, exercise and group activities than she had while living on her own. This is exactly what I had hoped for and am very grateful she is a part of this community.

My parents celebrated their 49th anniversary on April 15th 2021. They are residents at Five Star Premier Residences of Hollywood. Darlene Osser, Maura Bernarding, Lisa Calvet, and Jill Aaron, organized a wonderful dinner table for my parents. The table was decorated with balloons, confetti, and a remarkable frame of my parents wedding photo! Who does that! Amazing! That moment had me tear up a bit. Thank you all for the incredible experience bestowed onto my parents. Thank for the staff that welcome them daily, especially Ellen. My parents communicate in American Sign Language. Five Star has created an amiable and comfortable environment for a Deaf and Hard of Hearing couple. Thank you.
