When my dad passed away in early September of last year, we knew that my mom wanted to move into a community where she would make new friends who felt like family. She originally thought that she would be ready to move in March of 2026, and this in the information that we had shared with the Springs. After an unexpected illness requiring a hospital stay, it became evident that moving up the timeline for her move would be best. On the heels of her hospital discharge, I called the Springs and was connected right away with Carol, Community Relations Coordinator. It literally felt like divine intervention to be able to speak with someone who had been down this road with her own mother. Carol was overwhelmingly kind and compassionate. We were trying to navigate new territory, while learning to manage our grief. At every step Carol exceeded my expectations by answering my endless questions and helping to assuage my anxiety. Whether she was taking us on a tour, giving a suggestion about a moving company, listening to us share about my dad or checking on my mom personally during a recent illness, Carol makes the Springs feel like home. Long ago, in a different phase of my life, I worked weekends in a retirement community. I have extremely high expectations an standards. The Springs at Tanasbourne meets them all. I like to say that if someone had told me that my mom would find a community, where I felt that all of my concerns about safety, health and socioemotional support would be met, I would not have believed it. Now, I believe it. I have every confidence that my mom's needs can be met while living at the Springs. The support that our family has received to navigate such an important chapter in our lives is a blessing. The caring and interest in my mom's wellbeing has continued long past when we signed the paperwork. I 100% recommend the Springs for anyone who is looking for a warm and friendly community, to schedule a tour and meet the Community Relations Team.

My wife was diagnosed with dementia in January 2022. I was able to care for her at home until January 2025 with the assistance of in-home care givers. However, after a series of accidence and falls, I was advised by EMT’s, emergency room nurses, and hospital staff that our home was a dangerous place for my wife to live. We live in a country setting in a two-story house with numerous places to fall and no safe place to walk without driving 5 miles. Finding a safe, engaging place to care for my wife of 58 years was challenging. I am incredibly happy that I found The Springs at Tanasbourne, and I hope my comments are helpful to others. The Springs at Tanasbourne serves three communities in Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care programs. The Memory Care program at Springs at Tanasbourne is named Footsteps and is an outstanding program. Footsteps is well staffed by experienced professionals, caregivers, and Med-Tech’s who care for twelve residential patients, which is smaller than most of the other similar facilities in the area. The Memory care residents are engaged by The Springs Life Enrichment Staff in daily exercise programs including, walks, dog and animal therapy, music, balloon badminton, arts & crafts, daily community socials, and many other activities. The Springs Life Enrichment Staff serves the Independent Living, Assisted Living, and the Footsteps programs and in the process memory care residents interact with the other communities, which is beneficial. The Springs is a very friendly and engaging place. The staff and the residents in the community smile, say hello or good morning and they mean it. The first time I visited I noticed a relaxed home like experience and that people were smiling, Excellent activities for all. The three eating locations serve excellent, healthy food. I eat there when I visit my wife and always enjoy the food and the service. I highly recommend the programs and services The Springs provides.

I chose the Springs because my friends who I knew from where I had worked chose the Springs. No where else had everything I wanted or came as highly recommended. I wanted to bring my two pet cats as well as be sure there was a pool for water aerobics as that is the way I exercise. The cats and I are very happy. Our apartment is very nice, the food is good and everyone is so friendly.

We're so glad we moved our dad into the Springs! When his Dr said he needed to be placed into a memory care facility back in mid 2024 we were a bit panicked and didnt know where to start. We ended up touring a number of facilities around Portland, Hillsboro and Beaverton. The staff at the Springs offered a ton of support and advice and we ultimately ended up placing my dad at the Springs in Tanasbourne. Its been eight months now and I cant say anything negative about the facility and the staff. In fact, I'd say they are amazing and keep my dad comfortable and always doing extra activities to keep him busy. The facility is bright, clean, energetic and extremely friendly! We actually enjoy going out there to visit. I highly recommend The Springs!!!
