My mom arrived at the facility we went to her room and when my mom had to use the restroom there was poop on the bathroom floor I had to ask them can they clean this bathroom I don't understand why the bathroom was so filthy when no one was in the room beside her it was vacant and she was the only one using that bathroom and shortly after her arrival which has not even been 2 weeks her meds got screwed up they all want to blame it on someone else the doctor told me herself that she ordered my mom's insulin shortly after she got there the same date she saw her 08-08-25 a week later my mom ended up in the ER for her sugar being 511 nobody called me from this facility to let me know anything I actually got a call from one of the EMS workers when they were leaving the facility with her to the hospital .I would call at evening time to check on my mom and nobody answers the phones .my mom has went dramatically downhill since she's been there also I noticed when I went to visit her over the weekend she had one of her pills on the floor beside her bed I don't understand why they're not keeping a close eye on these residence to take in their medicine like they should they're just handing it to them and walking away that is just unacceptable ..I use to to work at this same facility about 20 years ago and it was a better and caring place then... There is 1 aide that takes the time to tend to my mom's needs she hasn't eating there she's lost weight and I don't see them trying to encourage her to eat like she should ..I was wondering why there were a lot of beds empty in this facility now I know but I am moving my mom out the end of this month to a skilled nursing facility where she belongs because she does not belong there I don't think no one does..

The TWO stars I leave for this facility are ONLY because there WERE 3 employees there that REALLY did their job from the heart. My grandmother just spent the last 6 months there, and was just moved to hospice. She fell three different times within 5 weeks. The last fall broke her hip, hence hospice. On two different occasions, we found pills under and in her bed that she wasn’t taking. PAIN MEDS for a fractured tail bone! It was brought to the attention of the staff the first time, and she has dementia so she has to be watched closely during med taking. It always stunk of urine, and the floors visibly dirty and sticky every single visit. Aside from the few staff members that were compassionate, we hated her being there. It’s disappointing that places like this even exist in JoCo.

My mother has been in the facility for years. When she first arrived the staff and place was lovely. Since that time this place has gone down hill in a major way. The staff that once cared about the residents have been replace with pathic excuses for "Healthcare workers", also, these patients don't even see a regular doctor, it's a Tela visit. Talk about cutting corners! High risk patients shouldn't be talking to a computer screen you flipping fools! If you think I am being untruthful just pop in for a visit on a Saturday or Sunday evening. I bet my bottom dollar there will be no staff in sight, or they will be sitting in their car talking on the phone. I am filing a formal complaint with the North Carolina Department of Health and adult protective services, in addiction to seeking new placement for my mother. As of right now I have enough documentations and have reached out to a legal team. And don't bother putting your little 800 number up here, it does ZERO good to call! I'VE TRIED! FIRED THESE PEOPLE AND GET BETTER STAFF! Don't you think if most of us could afford or had the capabilities (something this place now lacks in great deal) that most families would take care of their loved ones? They are not just this facilities pay day or a PAY CHECK FOR YOUR LAZY AND HATFUL STAFF!

If I could leave no stars I would. My Aunt spent most of her life in this facility and they fell off big time. She was dying and nobody wanted to do anything (bathe her, give her medicine, etc.) Her room was disgusting with bedding piled up in the corner with her feces all over it and not cleaning her while she was laying in her own feces as well and when my mother stayed up there with her the person in charge Joyce told all the workers to not give my mom anything except for water and she didn’t even want to do that, took the extra bed to where my mom slept for a month in a wheel chair. She had bed sores from having to lay in bed her final days and they wouldn’t even come in and roll her over like they were suppose to. They were horrible to my aunt leaving her unclean until a hospice nurse came 2 times a week to clean her and when they did they saw her back side was literally rotting off. This is a HORRIBLE FACILITY!!!! There is a lot more that could be said like her medicine for pain because she was dying going missing, then stealing my aunts belongings that she bought or were sent to her. DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONES IN HERE BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT BE TREATED RIGHT!!!! We have pictures of her room and how nasty it was. We are looking into shutting this place down or getting majority of the staff fired especially Joyce for mistreating not only the people living there but also their family members as well.

My mom was a resident there for years...the assisted living unit was an awesome place with great staff! But when my mom was placed in the memory care unit that all changed! The memory care unit staff are uncaring. Several times I went to visit my mom all you see is workers on the cell phones, ignoring the patients. Twice i returned my mon at night from a visit saw staff sleeping! My mom was hurt numerous times and we were not notified! My mom suffered double black eyes, huge knot on her head supposedly from falling out of bed on 2 separate occasions , but neither time were we notified. When she fell she tried to ring call button for help lying there almost an hour. I went and checked call button myself and they do not work!!! Informed nurse who stated she was aware they had been broke for a long time. How can you have call buttons in a memory care unit that dont work? Definite safety violation there! My mom is now in a wonderful facility getting much better care! No wonder the memory care unit has been in the paper numerous times! If you have loved ones in that memory care unit stay vigilant! A lot of my moms stuff also disappeared before we got her moved! I have reported this place and hope it improves for the others there! Wish i could give them a -5!!!
