In 2014 I had no choice but to place my mom into a 24 hour elder care facility. My sister had just passed away, the company where I had worked at for 26 years had relocated to Wisconsin, I had just started a new job and had now taken custody of caring for my mom. Leaving my mom home alone was becoming more difficult and dangerous by day, it was like leaving a small child home alone without supervision. I remember one morning I was getting ready to get in the shower when I heard the big stomp she had fallen, I ran to see what had happened and she was laying face down on the tiled floor. Blood was oozing out of her nose, I didn’t know if she had broken any bones, so I couldn’t move her, when the paramedics arrived she was taken to the hospital. She had fractured her nose, neck and right arm. It took months for her to heal. She was in a rehabilitation center for 3 months. I tried to have home health caretakers come to care for her at my house to bathe her, feed her, give her her medication and keep her company but they were very unreliable, there were times they wouldn’t even show up or call. That’s when I had to make the difficult decision of placing her in a facility. The thought of this was very sad and extremely heartbreaking for me. I have a lot of faith in God and always say God knew how stressed I was and what I had been going through with my mom. Trying to find a good clean loving place was so important to me but yet so hard to find. I had been to several and was at the point of having a nervous breakdown. I’ll never forget, I was literally in tears when God directed me to Four Seasons Elder Care. This was no coincidence, this was God that helped me find this place. I remember stopping by during my lunch hour to see the facility and I immediately knew this was the place I wanted for my mom. It’s in Miami Lakes and 5 minutes away from my job, they have a maximum of 5 patients, very clean and well lite with very attentive caretakers and the food they cook daily is amazing plus each of the patients have their own separate room. The owner keeps the facility immaculately clean and very lively, decorates the facility for every occasion and he and the caretakers treat all of the patients as if they were their own parents. I know it’s a difficult decision to make for our parents but sometimes we have no choice. I highly recommend Four Season Elder Care in Miami Lakes to everyone and anyone who needs and is looking for a place for their elderly parents.

This is one of the best places I have ever known, the service is excellent, extremely clean and all the employees are very professional.
