This is the best assisted living facility I have ever seen. I have had numerous family members throughout my life in various facilities throughout the United States, so I have seen plenty of them. My mother came to this facility with some reluctance to give up her solitary life in her home of 40 years, but her health and frailty really required it. The staff at Garden Estates made her feel so welcome and cared for that she came to realize that this was a great place for her but also that she should have come much sooner in her life. The rooms are excellently laid out and equipped where someone with severe arthritis can live fairly independently but also knowing that the staff are so quick and available to give whatever assistance is needed or desired for help with all levels of life activities. Another great aspect of life for a resident here is the attitude of the residents. This is a friendly, caring place. The residents have a genuine interest in each other but also know somehow when just enough interest is needed and when to allow someone their personal space. The food served here is excellent. My son and I ate here numerous times with my mother; I think he enjoyed coming to visit her because he knew he could get a good cheeseburger in the cafeteria as well as seeing his grandmother. I also enjoyed meals with my mother here. I am so glad that I took my mother here.

The wonderful staff at Garden Estates has been truly amazing with BOTH my elderly parents over the previous 4 years. Their individualized personal assistance and support is outstanding. The facility is very well maintained and managed as well. Kudos to the entire staff 👏👏👏. I would highly recommend Garden Estates to all.

We moved my mom to Garden Estates 7 weeks ago. We chose Garden Estates because the staff and residents were so friendly and there was such a positive energy throughout the community. My mom was not a willing participant with her move which has made our process challenging. The staff has been available to all of us with support and encouragement throughout this transition. I'm amazed at all the friends my mom has made. She has so many more activities and friends here than she did living alone in her home that she still misses. I love that I was able to bring her furniture and items from home to decorate her lovely apartment. The staff went above and beyond to help us provide the most comforting environment for mom. The medical staff gives her her medications morning and night. They have called me (as I requested) when there have been medical concerns or questions. I have called the night staff twice already after receiving concerning calls from my mom. Both times they promptly sent a staff member to check on her, help redirect her, and then called me back with an update which meant the world to me. I know my mom is safe and has a wonderful community available to her. My prayer is that she continues to adapt and appreciate her new home as so many other residents at Garden Estates have before her. I look forward to posting a positive update in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about Garden Estates of Temple, and the people who work there, and the people who live there. I had no idea when we chose Garden Estates for my parents that they'd be joining a family. My mom's dementia led my parents to seek assisted living, to help them with daily tasks, but this community was so much more for them. Both the employees and residents embraced them, supported them, cared for them, and - in the days when they made the decision to move to be closer to me and for additional care for my mom - loved them. They also provided such wonderful counsel as we navigated a search for additional resources and alternative living arrangements. Checked on my parents daily, sometimes multiple times daily, when mom was in the hospital. My parents always raved about how good the food was (and they had a to-go lunch ready for my dad every day when he left for the hospital to visit my mom), and they loved all of the live music performed for the residents. They made friends quickly, often eating each meal with the same group, and their neighbors next door and down the hall watched out for them daily. And they created a really large, comfortable, two-bedroom apartment for my parents, by renovating two one-bedrooms, so they could live together. Our first experience with assisted living has caused us to have high standards for everywhere else. While the place could use some new carpet and paint and a few other upgrades, we know their time and care and resources were focused on the residents, so I can't complain about that. Should out to Lisa, and to Darlene, who listened so patiently to my dad, always going above and beyond to make sure their needs were met and providing him every resource he needed. I am forever grateful to you all for your care.

Making the decision to leave my home of 48 years and move to Garden Estates of Temple was not easy, but now, after having lived here for two and a half years, I can honestly say that it was the right decision for me. There is no need that I have that is not taken care of for me, from trash removal, doing my laundry, cleaning my beautiful apartment, to preparing daily meals. The staff here is wonderful, and it is very evident how much they love the residents here. If there comes a time that you feel the need for assisted living for yourself or a loved one, I believe that Garden Estates could well be the answer to your prayers.
