My mom is currently staying at Garden Terrace for rehabilitation after breaking her hip, and the experience has been completely different from what we expected based on past rehab facilities she has been in. In the past, she felt like the staff were just “dealing with her,” but at Garden Terrace the staff truly make her feel heard, cared for, and valued. Everyone has been incredibly kind, friendly, and engaging. They take the time to listen to her, joke with her, and encourage her even on the days when she can be a little difficult. It makes such a difference to see people who genuinely seem to like what they do and who treat patients with warmth and patience. There are three staff membersh who have been especially wonderful. Jerad, the physical therapist, has built such a great rapport with my mom that she feels comfortable talking with him about everything — she practically knows his life story now! Sean, who is about 6'7", is another favorite. My mom actually watches him when he walks out the door because she’s convinced he’s going to hit his head on the way out. He calls her “sweetie,” is incredibly kind, and always brings a smile to her face. And Amanda, the nurse (I believe that’s her name), has been so attentive and compassionate. She noticed right away when my mom was in pain and worked hard to make her comfortable. She even takes the time to cut up my mom’s food for her — something no other place has ever done — and makes sure she is settled and comfortable. At some facilities, staff come in, do their tasks, and leave. They’re not rude — but they don’t necessarily make you feel like they care either. At Garden Terrace, the difference is clear. The staff here go beyond just doing their jobs. They connect with the patients, they show patience, and they make a tough situation feel a lot more hopeful. Rehabilitation is not easy, but the people here make a very hard experience so much better. As someone who lives in Hawaii, knowing my mom is here and will be cared for when I have to return home makes me feel incredibly grateful and gives me real peace of mind. Our family truly appreciates the kindness and compassion shown to her every day.

Love ❤️ the place. It's clean, staff are friendly from the reception to the nurses, PT, OT. The way they speak to their residents i love it. Thank you for caring for a good sister of mine.

Garden Terrace is modern, clean and was well staffed during my daytime visit. Meals provided to the patients look substantial and appetizing. The employees that I encountered seemed very pleasant and professional. My visit was brief, but everything, including the Christmas decorations were nice. This is a first impression, but a very good one!
