Gates AFC

This home is absolutely the real deal. Let's start with the quiet peaceful setting. The home is spacious and with home cooked meals. Each home has a unique feel to it, this reminds me of Golden Girls home. The women can relax in the living area or if they have visitors they have a private separate area for families to gather, this is beautiful area for private moments with love ones.

l'd just like to say Jody is amazing. My mom and her are like two peas in a pod. I can't believe how much she accomplishes in a day. She cleans the house prepares meals cleans up and does dishes and feeds clients does washing and drying and putting away clothes takes out garbage brings back in the cans does paper work does interviews. Covers many shifts and does so much more. She decorates and takes time to make everyone feel important. She bathes and dresses clients if needed makes beds and gives her heart and soul to each person. She definitely is a huge asset to this house and the clients. She makes this house their home. Any agency would be honoured to have her as an employee. Thank you for all you do. Appreciate you Sharon Rand

My mother came to Gates AFC because she was no longer able to live independently. It was a very difficult transition for her. The manager, and daytime caregiver, Jody, was very patient and compassionate. Under Jody's leadership, the rest of the staff are also very patient and caring with the residents. It has been a difficult transition for my mother, but she she is adjusting well-- and I have peace of mind knowing she's well looked after. A shout out as well to Cynthia who also gives 100%.

Using Gates group home as respite while we went on vacation for my mother in law was a great experience. Jody went above and beyond from the paper work, to getting getting my mother in law settled and made us all feel welcome and took all the worries out of everything. Mary made friends, ate well taken care of and was truly loved during her stay. I highly recommend them hands down. Jody loves what she does and it shows. Thank you and we will definitely come see you again!!

My mom lived at Gates during the final months of her life. I do not believe she could have gotten better care anywhere. Jody, the manager, and Penny were so attentive to her needs and truly made her right at home from her first day there. My biggest regret was that I didn’t find this place earlier so my mom could have lived there longer. She was very happy there.
