I drove from Nine Mile in Spokane to tour this place with my de mom. We show up and are told the gal giving tours had an emergency and asked us to reschedule. We didn't. 4 months later we get a call and agreed to set up another tour. Got to Rathdrum early so we had lunch. The place was busy and by the time our food arrived we had to eat fast to make our appointment to tour. As we're finishing eating with 20 minutes to pay tab and get to the facilty the gal called... had yet another emergency and had to cancel the tour. The emergency... someone getting released from hospital in a few days and have to get ready for them to return to facility. Nope... reg flags!! The 1st impression is supposed to be the best. They hire expert salespeople to sell you on the place. This gal (Bri) works from home with kids in the background. She didn't want to leave her house in the pouring rain to get to the appointment she scheduled. If they can't do the salespitch right than I'm thinking the care isn't going to be good! I wouldn't move my loved one into this place!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Generations Memory Care of Rathdrum. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the compassion, patience, and genuine dedication of the entire team. The staff truly treats residents like family, taking the time to understand each individual’s needs, preferences, and personality. What stands out most is their willingness to listen. They actively welcome feedback from families and consistently look for ways to improve. It’s been incredibly reassuring to not only share suggestions but to actually see them put into action. Watching the team continually grow, adapt, and make positive changes shows how deeply they care about providing the best possible environment. The caregivers are attentive, kind, and professional, and they create a warm, engaging atmosphere where residents feel safe and valued. Knowing your loved one is surrounded by people who are both skilled and sincerely compassionate brings tremendous peace of mind. Generations Memory Care of Rathdrum sets a high standard for memory care, and the heart of that excellence is their outstanding staff.

We moved our mom from Washington State to Generations due to better pricing for her. During her short time there before her passing the care was good. When she had to be transported to the hospital very little paperwork was sent with her, insurance & many more important pieces of information. Since her passing we have needed to pass on financial requirements the billing department to to handle. Daily messages were left for a return call, none received, this went on for 1 1/2 months, finally I connected with someone & required paperwork was done. But due to no communication done in a timely manner the paperwork sent has been rejected! So once again I am leaving daily messages to advise of new instructions, no return call again. This lack of professionalism and concern during this difficult time for the family has created another burden on top of our loved ones passing. This is unacceptable !!

I am updating this review as Generations did reimburse us the $3000 we paid. I appreciate the follow up and their determination to make this situation right. The staff who assisted me were very kind and understanding. This facility is only worried about the bottom line. My father is in a skilled nursing facility after having been in the hospital. The skillled nursing facility advised his insurance may be terminating coverage so in a panic I spoke with Generations about transporting him there. We signed an initial agreement on Friday afternoon to get him in on Monday morning. Monday morning we found out insurance may still cover him at the skilled nursing facility where he’s been making improvements. We called Generations (less than 5 business hours after signing the agreement) to let them know we couldn’t move dad yet. They canceled the contact but kept our $3,000 dollars. It is clear they are more concerned about profit than people. I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

My aunt has been a resident of Generation Memory Care for over 6 years; like any home, there are ups and downs. Have there been any hiccups? Of course there have. However, I've found the ED to be helpful and not only willing to listen to any concerns but prove they care and make corrections when needed. Recently, I've found leadership to be proactive in their approach to training staff and updating policies to make sure my aunt has the best care possible. My aunt is happy and has the opportunity to participate (as she chooses) in a variety of activities. Thanks for all you do, Generations Memory Care!
