Should not be rated 5 stars! Allowed 94 yr old to languish in bed and get a bleeding bed sore. Didn't shower her for weeks. Didn't brush her teeth or take care of personal hygiene. Dr Jande was a ghost. They put 2 Covid patients in her room before they were tested for all the coughing they were doing! We had 17 complaints that we sent to the State of Michigan. They were investigated. Was so glad to get her out of there! Should be rated 0 stars!

My husband came in directly from the hospital and was there as an inpatient for recovery from a fall. We would like to recognize a few outstanding staff members. Jeanette, LPN, Grace, Associate Director Health Services..we called her "Saving Grace". She was able to remove the last, embedded staple from my husband's head. Laura,CNA brought a ray of sunshine to the room everyday! Eve, Dining Service had a smile to greet everyone and would go the extra mile for a patient. Calvin, Dining Service was just like Eve. Jamie and Dona , nurses there for my husband's every need. I know all of this, because I was there all day, everyday. PT, Luke and Paul were outstanding. Rahila was the first PT to inform us of an AFO, which my husband needed. OT, Kristen has a marvelous personality and went above and beyond to be accommodating. We were not as pleased with the demeanor of the social worker. Overall the care at Shelby Crossing was a good experience for the needs of my husband's 12 days.

I was at Shelby Crossing in July following surgery and I would highly recommend anyone who would need rehab therapy to go to Shelby Crossing. The facility is very nice and is kept very clean. The staff is great! They are very caring and friendly. Also, they are very professional and skillful in their jobs. The food was very good and there were various activities to participate in during my stay. I was very pleased with the help that I was provided at Shelby Crossing.

My dad had many stay's at both Shelby and Orchard Grove. This last attempt at physical therapy he choose Shelby Crossing as he liked it there best. Unfortunately he ended up in hospice due to health issues and my family and I cannot say enough words to express our sincere gratefulness to the staff that handle all his health issues, but also the Executive director. The health care workers were great, some took a very personal likening to our dad which made our family feel comfortable with everything going on. They listened to his needs as well as ours and helped us through a most difficult time in both his and our life. We were able to keep our dad in the same room with the same staff he had formed a bond with and start the hospice process, this was a blessing to not have to move him. During hospice, the staff was outstanding in his treatment needs and made sure each family member was okay. Always stopping in to check on us, talk with each of us and listen to our fears and tears. There are some incredible staff members at Shelby Crossing that came to feel like family after 5 weeks. My dad would often call me and while talking I could hear how wonderful they were with him , even when no one was there to see or hear. In the end, our family is thankful for having a good experience with good, caring people. We would recommend Shelby Crossing for your loved one, be it therapy or assisted living. We saw it all while there for 5 weeks, and met a lot of patients between the community dining room and the outdoor garden, we really never heard anyone complaining. As for the staff members we got to know, thank you with all our heart for taking such wonderful care of our dad, God Bless you.

The staff at Shelby Crossing are very compassionate and care about the residents and their families. The staff took the time to get to know my Dad and our family. Always friendly and welcoming. My Dad was in the Health Campus and Assisted Living Facility for 9 months. The staff assisted us in dealing with health and medical challenges, offering support where possible. Their actions were commendable. We appreciate the efforts of all the staff who contributed to my Dad's care and provided us with reassurance. Thank you!!
