GLEN PARK AT GLENDALE - MARIPOSA ST

Glen Park at Glendale - Mariposa St feels like a small neighborhood where everyone knows you. From the moment I stepped inside, staff greeted residents by name, offered a steady arm or a joke, and actually listened. The staff kept things calm and organized, and I saw it in little transactions, aides kneeling to chat at eye level, nurses dropping by just to check in. I want to Thank Brigette Winslow for the fantastic tour of the facility.

We moved our father in this past October after touring 4 different facilities in LA. Glen Park Mariposa was the best by far (cleanest, nicest and most engaged staff, most happy residents, most diversity etc) and it brings me and my brother great peace to know he is safe and well looked after. Brigitte was a wonderful guide and did not pressure us at all into our decision. She was kind and accommodating, as are all the other staff including the executive director Susan and the ladies at the front desk including Kenya and Nurse Vanessa. They seem to genuinely adore my dad. Of course, it was a hard and painful transition and as a caregiver it was challenging for me to give up control, but I know he is in the best place possible for him as he continues to decline. No assisted living or memory care facility is going to be perfect, and the rooms are much smaller compared to other facilities we visited, but it’s in a great and very residential neighborhood with a lot of families, and there are a few parks and a great coffee shop in walking distance. I visit a few times a week and take my dad for a walk around the neighborhood which he really enjoys. I also appreciate that they don’t segregate between memory care and assisted living - all residents at Mariposa have access to the same activities, dining area etc. We could not be more grateful to have our dad at Glen Park, or for the lovely staff.

We feel so incredibly lucky to have found Glen Park Mariposa. My father is well taken care of and very happy there. The most special part about this place is the activities. Maria Mullen creates the most wonderful experiences for residents and their families. From Country Western Day to the fancy dress up Gala, it gives us an opportunity to celebrate with our dad. We also take advantage of almost all the outings. Can't wait to go to Aquarium of the Pacific this month! Thank you! Thank you!

After visiting several assisted living facilities, my family and I knew Glen Park would be the best place for my mom. From the moment I walked in, Bryana was very caring, patient and kind. She knew all the residents there- greeting every single one we passed as she gave me a tour. She also asked many questions about my mom to be sure her transition would be smooth and her needs would be met. She was there every step of the way to be sure my mom would feel comfortable and safe in her new home. Now, It has been several months since my mom has been there and my mom is happy! I visit her anywhere from once to several times a week at different times of the day and I see how hard the staff works to ensure each of their residents is being attended to. Also, their entertainment director, Maria, works hard to be sure the residents have fun and engaging activities. There is never a dull moment from playing bingo to creating crafts to creative workouts to parties and live music the level of involvement they have with the residents is non-stop. I watch Maria and Nancy and other caregivers continuously attend to each participant resident. Also, they go on trips anywhere from The Grove to Disneyland to Olvera Street and many more! And I hear the excitement of their excursion not just from my mom, but from other residents as well, so kudos, Maria! The office staff is also amazing! They help me with reminders for my mom which I truly appreciate. Tanya, Leslie, Crystal, and Kenya are courteous and are always there to answer any questions I may have as well as address any concerns. I can’t express how grateful I am to have them care for my mom. Since her stay there I can tell her social, emotional and physical well being has improved!

Your professionalism and attention to detail has exceeded our expectations. We are grateful to have found a loving and cozy home for our mother. She loves living at Glen Park. Your staff is amazing, very friendly and caring. Thank you for all you! I highly recommend Glen Park to anyone who is looking for an assisted living home for their loved one.
